oh I know the taste is probably that ceramic, because it's new, it's just has to be used a bit more and might go away, and when things are shipped, there are certain protective substances applied to things like that

that akward taste you're getting is the packing oils/plastic on the heater. you're supposed to burn the oil off by leaving it on for like 10-20 minutes.

nah its not a burning taste, its just a strange taste of heat.. hard to explain,, but what i think the problem is that the coal u get heat all around and with this the heat is only down..
