Mick McNeil left Sons of Dan and also Four Good Men due to personal circumstances.

Sadly, it has been announced in the past couple of days, by Derek Forbes, on the Four Good Men website that Sons Of Dan are no more.

Some great work there as all sounds excellent, particuarly like the snippet of the third one. Look forward to hearing the finished tracks, when will these be released?

My personal fantasies for Sons of Dan:

1. Mick's triumphant return on whatever is the oldest, most analog synth he's got. (You know I'm right about this, Mick -- they sound so much better!)

2. Plenty of that minimalist krautrock influence that had been mentioned when the project was announced last year.

3. Derek brings the FUNK!!!

The music is ace! Then I am a wee bit biase as an old school minds fan. Reminds me of the Sparkle in the rain sessions I have kicking around somewhere.

Well done guy's when can we buy the final cut??

Ps. Dan not sure about using a six string - that's almost sacrilege ;-)

It was a 5 string, and I have now dumped it for my trusty pair of Precisions, fretted and fretless

the guitar parts are split between Derek Forbes and Frank O'Hare. Parts are up for grabs if the Pirhana wants to play them. If not, parts will be finalised. Mick has left out most of his keyboards on these tracks. When you hear what he has played there will be no doubts as to the strength of these songs.
