Spanky - Acid Bass - TRAX Records - 1989

I bought a trax record on discogs recently that listed the quality of the vinyl as a near mint. It arrives comes with lots of marks and you can hear a clear abrasive noise over the music at every point of the revolution of the 12" ...i wrote back and complained that the vinyl wasn't near mint, they came back and told me to do my research about Trax releases. Should i believe that?

Hey there what about the audio condition of your record - does it sounds bad like there whas many surface marks on the vinyl ?

Because my copy sounds terrible, although its like new ! What about yours ?

I'll kill for a good sound quality repress of that tune, too shame they record the song on a crapy tape, the song sounds as if the record was in poor condition ; i thought it whas my copy that was in poor condition but its the recording itself lol..

Maybe its because this song has to stay the holy grail of acied house music, amazing but unplayable in clubs don't you think ? : ) ...

try the acid trax 3 album also available on repress

i have the acid trax 3 album, the original pressing, like mint but its the sound itself of the song, the way they recorded it, that's crap with a lot of noise...

I knew this album was repressed, don't know if the sound of the track is better (maybe they re recorded the track ? Or maybe they cleaned the tapes ?)

Anyone has the original pressing ? Does is sounds bad quality like my copy ?

Dunno - if anyone who has the repress and who could help me, that would be very, VERY nice !

There is a repress made of the Trax 3 record, sounds better for sure, and its pressed on the album Jacking the house part 4....searching is over....... ca va

Aparently trax were pretty bad at keeping any kind of master copys on tape or anything so most of the modern represses are just rips of archive vinyl pressed onto new vinyl, i have a repress of the Virgo EP and sound quality wise its woeful, Thats just the price you have to pay for quality Hosue music :)
