Stephen Morris is a beast! What's amazing is that all the members look as if they are playing in their own separate worlds.. Yet their music is completely of a piece, and utterly unlike anything else that was coming out at the time. ANYTHING.

Taras Shevchenko is the name of Ukraine's most famous poet. One might have to ask what this has to do with New Order. Answer: This (debut?) concert of New Order was filmed at the hall of the Ukrainian National Home in the East Village in NYC.

New Order have always been brilliant live .. or very bad. I know I've seen both. This is brilliant. Would be interested to know what the youth of today think about it. For me .. it's what it's always been .... really great. Thanks for the posting

@kennyinkent, sorry I can't speak for the youth of today, but from the youth of 1981, the video of of this concert was one of my prize possessions. N.O. were a heap different to other bands around in those days.
