I remember hoping that DDP would pull off the upset against Goldberg in that match. I think he could have carried the ball had he been given the chance instead of being just a transitional champion. He was incredibly popular in the late 90's. I think they missed the ball in that, but then again WCW missed the ball plenty of times which is why they aren't around anymore.
Having DDP beating Goldberg would have been a much better idea than Nash defeating him.

Only during the latter part of 2005 did he start figuring in main events. Batista is the same as Cena except he was with Evolution rather than competing for the US title. Angle was feuding with HBK for most of 05 before helping to push Cena because everyone knew the Angle was on the way out.

@warlock776 Lol, WWE fanboy much? Goldberg did not mean to kick Brett in the face, it was an accident. Also, I still doubt that his stroke was caused by a kick that happened years before. Anyway, Goldberg is one of the most entertaining wrestlers ever, meanwhile Edge was pushed because the WWE had nobody else to push. Taker and HBK were getting older there was no Rock or Stone Cold, they only really had HHH and Orton so they had to push Edge. He's a midcarder, that's all he should ever had been.

@francisco2007007 John Cena was no where near the huge name he is now, he was feuding with Carlito and the Big Show over the US title. Only during the latter part of 2005 did he start figuring in main events. Batista is the same as Cena except he was with Evolution rather than competing for the US title. Angle was feuding with HBK for most of 05 before helping to push Cena because everyone knew the Angle was on the way out.
