It's a little pointless doing "townhall meetings" in a police state. Those allowed to be part of the townhall would include many Communist Party members, and the others would be afraid to ask what they would in a free country. Undoubtedly half the questions were from the propaganda ministry.

Funny how the town hall meetings in his own country were completely disrespectful (yelling, shouting, booing) but the town hall meeting in the PRC is with done with class and cordiality.
