  • @Kenny2WWE Awesome vid. Saw one on youtube years ago where they performed on stage together but cant find it anymore.

  • @zcolez Thanks!!! If you have Netflix, you can see that performance,"Feeling Alright" On SNL 10-2-76 the first season...

  • One icon imitating another. LMFAO watching and remembering this skit.

  • Shame to here this didn't upset Joe Cocker. I'd prefer it if he cried himself to sleep every night after J.B's impression highlighted J.C's complete lack of talent.

  • Bout to sing this for karaoke

  • So fucking talented, so fucking funny. RIP Belushi, one of the greats.

  • @Erockmunnay I agree! just fuckin' classic..we lost him too soon...back when SNL was truly groundbreaking and really funny!

  • @TheEldoradoKid now SNL is just so crappy no one can write comedy like that anymore and the talent is in the crapper too!

  • read SNL book. besides that cocker said it in an interview on PBS he had no idea they were going to do it and cocker thought they were making fun of him

  • People dislike this? Belushi- the world could use you right now man.

  • @XristopherZ I know that LAME SNL could use him!

  • Imitation is the highest form of flattery

  • jesus he can actually sing so well

  • To the Haters, While Joe Cocker was performing as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live, John Belushi came out and Impersonated him.

    Joe thought it was funny.

I just wish this wasn't filmed on a Calculator.

  • too good, he nails Old Joe.....i bet Ole Joe gotta smile...no one like Joe C and no one like John B....too fun.

  • @fuzzypige222 as a matter of fact, Joe was pissed! when he did SNL he sang and in the middle of it John came out and sang with him and imitated him and Joe didn't speak to him for a long time. thought he was making fun of him. too bad, i understand, but john was soooo good. love them both

  • @MrMutt76 What? They were totally cool with each other... I mean, the duet was obviously planned in advance.

  • Man, he could sing!!!

  • It's amazing how much he sounds like joe and the mimic, holy crap it was like watching the original woodstock clips.

  • blähhh

  • A legend!

  • It was even more hysterical than the Joe Cocker imitation. He, rather she was sitting in a chair eating chicken then all of a sudden starts choking & self administers the maneuver! It was off the charts hysteria.

  • Twist Carpado at 2:33!

  • @theomeireles98 oh yeah! amazing!

  • Well done, Mr. Belushi. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and seeing this for the first time it's clear that he had a great respect for the artist he mimicked.

  • If Joe Cocker was your kid, father, brother, would you think Belushi's impersonation would be a tribute or an insult. I was raised to respect others. It's called honor. It would take an asshole to know an asshole, I believe. As for Joe Cocker "loving" Belushi's %*#@&, he was being a gentleman. Stupid is as stupid does. ;]

  • @frmlv Lighten up. Its clear that John did this out of respect and did a damn good job!

  • Alright all of you assholes who THINK your "defending" Joe Cocker, but haven't got a freakin clue.....here's a newz flash, JOE COCKER LOVED BELUSHI'S IMPRESSION, and saw it as one of Belushi's great talents.

IN FACT....he appeared on one of Belushi's skits and played along. SEE VIDEO IN VIDEO RESPONSES.....learn about it before you cry about it.

Joe and John would laugh at the stupidity of your STUPIDITY. haha....

  • That was the last time I watched SNL. Sucked...too big of a Joe Cocker fan....never liked Belushi so there ...rymes with sushi for a reason....and no, I'm too old to have a sense of humor, HA ;]

  • @frmlv The only reason your mad is that thats the way Joe Cocker looks when he is singing, harmless fun.

  • it amazes me that some people have no sense of humor.

it tickles me some of those people have no clue.

it makes me laugh outfrigging loud that some of those same people are extremely overwrought in thinking that this is in someway disrespectful of Joe Cocker or whatever they are thinking.

it pisses me off that some people are so judgemental.

    Like it? watch & listen.

don't like it? go find something you do like.

at least try to be positive.

  • LOL It's almost like the musics hitting him in the face! It's amazing, he makes the most rediculous faces, you don't expect such a great voice to come out!

  • the funniest Albanian who ever lived

  • not that funny honestly

  • That was either a great lip sync job or he was able to make his voice do many bizarre things.. I watched that skit the Saturday night it originally aired and I'm still cracking up today! He was a pisser of pissers. Too bed he's been gone for nearly 30 years. He was a rare comedic talent, meaning he made people laugh their butts off! His Liz Taylor was awesome too.

  • @714AD See I wasn't planning on staying on youtube long today until you mentioned his impersonation of Liz Taylor, now I'm searching for that too! lol

  • I actually remember seeing this on TV during that time it was Live for real!! Belushi was totally stoned!!

  • this mother fucker can indeed make fun of others

  • John Belushi was on SNL with the original cast from 1975 to 1980 .... They were brilliant !! ....... Among them, Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman, Gilda Radner Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase (who left after 1 season), Garrett Morris, and Bill Murray (replaced Chevy Chase in 2nd season), ,

  • LMAO 1:49 !!

  • Genius. Nothing less, everything more.

  • John Belushi was Brilliant doing Joe Cocker..... Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.... It dont get better than this!

  • Precursor to Chris Farley...? I'm not saying Chris Farley was unoriginal, just saying he and John Belushi had similarities in style. Some of them were unfortunate. May both of them Rest in Peace.

Enough seriousness... THIS IS SOME FUNNY SHIT!!!

  • Comment removed

  • awesome

  • i was there watching SNL in theh day..this was funnnnny shit, i hope Joe got a laugh too - if you cant laugh at comedy go die in a corner, no one will care about youre tiresome self, you know who you are.....zzz boring to say the least...hope your cat loves you hohum,, wtf a name is that??, nah i dont really care if your cat loes you or if you die in a corner...eat more bran

  • John was a vey funny guy i sure miss him.He still makes us laugh long after his death. Thanks john Belushi Luv ya,

  • Can't continue to watch insensitivity and shallowness making fun of someone while they were down and in need of help..... can't find any humor in this.

  • moron

  • so this is where planking REALLY started....

  • belushi holds up...but i just watched best of mike myers on snl and did it suck mule balls....myers skitss did not hold up..they really blew....

myers is making another austin powers...he cant do nothing else at this point...myers is now old and irrelevant like jim carey is now...

  • I am sure he is trying to be funny, but when he does this bit and the blues brothers, he could make it as a musician, just plain talented

  • @davidcononie are you serious? Research a little..he had the #1 Movie..TV Show and Music Album all at the same time...

  • I never realized just how spot on this was until i looked up Joe Cocker mauling this song. Damn, the good old days of SNL.

  • its more sad than funny, some drug addicted fat guy goin crazy lol.

  • (almost) Anybody can sing. What's hard about it is learning what's right to sing. Joe Cocker is an inspiration. John Belushi is a damn force of nature. He got the voice so tight, man.

  • greats from Albania...

  • Funny but bit hes dead and Joe is still singing

  • He did an excellent job but I am disappointed he didn't do the scream. Wow!!! He sounds just like Joe Cocker :)

  • John does an excellent Joe ! MIke, I watched it and LOVED IT !!! Mike

  • Nobody but nobody could do Joe Cocker like John Belushi.

  • John Belushi was a huge fan of Joes and Cocker was honored to have John parody him

  • He did Joe Crocker better than Joe Crocker. I was laughing so hard at this.

If this isn't comedy, I don't know what is.

  • @coolwafferman Really? Crocker?

  • There' were only two people who could "do Cocker".... Joe Cocker, and John Belushi.

  • And now for another episode of Samurai Cocker

  • I saw that on SNL when I was a wee little kid. I was too young to be staying up that late but I did anyway. lol

  • that was AMAZING. He's so great! They just don't make em like that any more

  • funny thing is... he sounds really good!

  • Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. RIP John. Miss ya.

  • When Joe Cocker saw this he was like DO I REALLY LOOK LIKE THAT! lmao

  • To all the haters, You wish you could sing half as good as Belushi.

  • So much more funny then is brother, not even close.

  • Pure Genius! RIP John

  • IMHO one of the greatest comedy performances in history.

  • is it bad that i still Feel abit like him... Na

  • Omgsh how can you mistake that for Cocker? Listen to one of Cockers LIVE songs and then place your judgment correctly. Belushi's head voice is Joe Cocker's chest voice.... Cocker does not have to push those high notes nearly that hard

  • @darncellphone Way tobe a asshole. It's from Saturday Night Live...it's a sketch. Jon Belushi was the man, and so far I have never seen any pull off Joe Cocker like he did.

  • @tatethompson1234 Did you see him performing *with* Joe Cocker? That was great fun.

  • @tatethompson1234 Taylor Hicks came close...i don't think he was impersonating him though

  • @drmacho1971 you bumped your head...

  • John Belushi was ridiculously talented.

  • classic belushi.

  • he was not an actor but as standup he was the greatest

  • too talented for this world .... ......... thanks john

  • lmmfao...very epic

  • i wish they'd bring back the little chocolate donut fake ad here on YT it used 2 be on here but itz gone. its my favorite episode of JB ever

  • RIP Belushi

    FUCK TODAY'S SNL!

  • Brilliant.

  • Good

  • YAY! Was looking for this ..! THANXX

  • Belushi was actually part of a troupe along with Chevy Chase who did musical impressions before SNL. John played Cocker of course, Chevy was Jim Morrison.

  • When he fell to the ground i totally lost it. LOL

  • My belly ached for three days after seeing this live that Saturday Night.

  • Haven't laughed like that in years. He is soo funny.

  • Darn, this isn't the one with both John and Joe Cocker on stage together. John is dressed just like him. It's on the DVDs of the history of SNL from 1975. So funny though.

  • This is so funny i almost pooped my pants he was amazing rip

  • There have been a lot funny acts on SNL but to me growing up with SNL is the best of the best

  • Awesome! Absolutely awesome. One of my favorite skits from the early days of SNL. My husband and I were lucky enough to be in the audience with the original cast during the early days of SNL. Good times... RIP

  • Love this miss you John. Great .... Funny funny man. Gifted.

  • "Was it over when the...the Germans bombed pearl Harbor?" What a fantastic and hilarious rendition of Joe Cocker by Belushi. He was truly one of a kind! You are missed my friend!

  • Thank you for posting. This memory popped in my head and I couldn't help but smile. Then I found your post and life was good

  • If you find this vid with better sound quality you can hear that Belushi actually sings this song pretty good. My father had a tape with all the old SNL skits. I grew up watching this stuff. Those were some great days. 7 years old and I was already exposed to some of the greatest comedians. Thanks pops.

  • non lo conoscevo sotto questa veste....bravissimo

  • Classic! Brought back many memories. Thanks for posting this...

  • He did this so well

  • @mskomania Lighten up, Francis.

  • albanian blood at all

  • LMMFAO!!!! Thank you for posting this video!!!!

  • @29framed Ur welcome!!!

  • Brilliant. R.I.P., John.

  • this isn't funny, what if Joe Cocker had suffered from something that he couldn't control his mannerisms? This was not funny by any stretch because of how Joe Cocker gets when it comes to his music.

  • @JohnGunnPI

yay for not having a sense of humor! if joe cocker had a problem with it, they probably wouldn't have let john do this in the first place.

  • @TomandaustinRV My friend, and I use that term loosely, I have a sense of humor and I hoped that if I ever did see this video I had hoped Cocker belted him one, maybe a worse punishment was at the time Jim, shunning his brother for this.

  • @JohnGunnPI FYI there's a video where Joe Cocker sung this song TOGETHER with Belushi while Belushi was acting like this. I ended up here while looking for that very vid which seems to have disappeared from youtube.

  • @aaaarrrgggghh that's what I was looking for too.. You Tube must have removed..

  • Classic John! It's so funny, I remember seeing this when I was kid. I wish there was a clearer version.

  • 23 fuckin tools dislike a great video may the devil rape them all

  • And i dont want this to turn into a "what couldve been done" argument, the fact is that he's gone, and theres nothing we can do about it except cherish his amazing talents that are showcased here perfectly. RIP john we all miss you very much.

  • Nobody got john hooked on drugs, john got himself hooked on drugs. I love him a lot and i wish he was still with us today, but his wife judy and a lot of his friends spent years trying to find a reason why he died and did what he did, and blaming people did no good, in the end, john was gonna do what john was gonna do. It really sucks but thats the sad reality

  • If I can find the person who got John hooked to drugs I would beat the ever loving shit out of him. He deserved help and his friends and family should of gave him the support he needed to kick the habit.

  • *Classic* but i agree with (somewhat) BBOZ83 -- Where is little chocolate doghnuts?

  • good video but the audio quality sucks balls

  • Guys like Andy Samberg (or whoever's on SNL nowadays) will NEVER come close!

  • one of the greatest minds, one of the greatest moments in TV history.

  • genius,,,and sadly left so early....

  • fuck me he sounds exacly the same....

  • 2:33 - The classic Belushi windmill spin - never duplicated, never will be.

  • Champion

  • where the fuck is little chocolate doughnuts fuck this

  • dear bxbuff i am as pissed off as we all are at him. how dare he do that to himself and rob us of his talents. chris farley followed that same path as did freddie prinze before john. goddammit!!!

  • I SHIT MY PANTS WHEN I SAW AS A KID HE WASA FUCKING GENIUS

  • my girlfriend and i watched this original broadcast on the netflix and she thought it was funny. right after, i showed her the joe cocker video from woodstock..

all she had to say was, "it's perfect."

    we miss you john

  • ( lol ) Though it has it's slow moments it's an accurate impression of Cocker's bizarre performance. Funny and Belushi even sounds like Cocker too!

  • He did''nt even know He was being on the money!!!!!!!!!!!! hE LOVED jOE SO MUCH He sounded just like HIM!!!

  • The most talented ever on SNL

  • AHAHAHAHAHA

  • wahts the name from this song??

  • @ProudtobeShqip "With a little help from my friends" originally by The Beatles and then Joe Cocker.

  • Paul McCartney paid Belushi something like 6k to do this at his birthday party. Which was probably pretty good money in '78, and a lot more then John was making at SNL, although a lot of the other cast members said Belushi would have done it for free.

  • Damn John could sing.

  • How many Belushi's do you have? 3? I thought John, Jim and James Belushi. Or am i wrong?

  • Pure genius...you are missed Jim!

  • @mikezes Jim's still around. This is John.

  • I know it's comedy, but this is actually a good cover of Joe's! Belushi can sing damn good! =)

  • @liquidrtype: I'm pretty sure he was lipsynching...wow, I hope you knew that.

  • @greatestgoalie25 lol, thats a good one =)

  • @liquidrtype: Oy vey, whatever. That's Cocker's voice. LOL

  • @greatestgoalie25 >> Oh, no. It was Belushi. He actually could sing and later did a duet with Cocker because he was that good.

  • @liquidrtype That is Joe Cocker singing...he just let Belushi mouth the words while he was in the background singing it.

  • @TheSunnyfanatic No it isn't. At all. Belushi did this many times, & Cocker wasn't there any of them.

He was a damn good singer in his own right. Watch blues brothers.

  • Comment removed

  • This bit isn't just funny,it's just as good as Cockers version!

  • That's correct. John did this with Joe Cocker on Saturday Night Live. I remember watching it. It was too funny.

  • I remember where I was when I heard he died...I cried. This was one of the saddest events of my youth...

  • john rocks. he is missed

  • Fucking. Awesome.

  • I can imagine the camera man watching it, live, and getting pee at his pants while cries of laugh.

  • unbelievably good rendition. amazing talent that John Belushi.

  • he was a real punk

  • why is everyone complaing about this? dont you people know imitation is the best form of flattery (or however it goes) and joe cocker liked this anyways so stop saying its mean and not cool.
