Love, love, love this song....When this album came out in the 70’s the Isley’s had just added their younger brothers Ernie and Marvin plus in-law Chris Jasper into the group, who then began taking us into an entirely different musical direction from their earlier works....and we loved it!!!....So sad at the passing of Marvin, June 2010
Lots of fond memories and great tunes have come from this stellar group....
@PostingID This track seems almost like they are crossing over from the earlier more raw energy style, and the later exquisite arrangements - it's kinda like half way between the two.
Oh Man! 1973. I was 14 yrs old and bought this 45rpm in Downtown Los Angeles and wore it out on my record playe at home. Me and five of my brothers crowded into one bedroom lol. Sweet memories of the only place I really considered home.
Wow another of my fave's that still plays. I'm not the kiss of death after all. Still love it, takes me back to living in Wandsworth ( not the prison ) I thought the good times would go on for ever..... Ho Hum.
Classic Isley. Tons of good memories. Ernie's guitar riff at the end.....Perfection!

One of the credits is incorrect. "Kelly" should read O'Kelly
zapwatt 1 year ago 2
@zapwatt Kelly or O'kelly would be correct either way. Later in life "O"Kelly dropped the "O" from his name. :>)

I have never found any evidence to support your claim. Can you provide any evidence?

Ditto joel48, I went through two cassette tapes, because of this song. However, 3+3 is one of my all time favorite albums.

His falsetto at 2:29 is gorgeous. Nimble and pure. Expressive and effortless.
