Beasly has to be one of the best strikers they had on the team, but Altidore does not play as a forward, the man doesn't move.He can't play something that he's not.
i don't like the idea of the US having a 'home stadium'. this concept works for small countries, like england, where anyone can drive or fly easily to games. it works in china too because you don't have many fans from tibet who want to watch games. Having all qualifiers in DC or seattle would not make sense because you have large pockets of fans in california, texas etc. this could work if you have MULTIPLE home stadiums like brazil and russia, but i think its better to vary it up
Beasley is in my opinion the best american winger but he should switch his club because the scottish league is not a good for him he's to small and its a very tough league. he should go to germany or to england.
I think when Beasley's on form and getting solid playing time he's the best winger we have. At the moment he's not either of those things so he needs to get back to Holland or go to Spain.
Good point. It has alot going for it. The first that comes to mind is that its the nations capital. Also, it already has a good history of Soccer matches that the U.S. has there. The fans are great. If the U.S. is to hold the World Cup in 2018 or beyond RFK would be a contender for where the final would be held.
can't wait to see the US turn into a powerhouse. US soccer is growing immensely at every level; especially the youth level. We'll have great kids from all ethnic backgrounds playing for the US; white, black, brown, asian...
Great to see the evolution of U.S Soccer, this was about as close to our A Squad as we'regoing to get and will probably be our team at the 2010 World Cup.
Can't wait to see these guys at the 2009 ConFed Cup against the likes of Italy.
idk mexico is my team n will always be my team but the USMNT look way better then mexico if u ask me altidore could be as good as vela or maybe even be better
Thanks for the post. I was at the game and the US team looks solid. After the Red Card it turned into a training match of sorts. I like the interplay between Donovan and Beasley. Seeing Altidore, Adu and Torres was nice too. This team that left the field Saturday night is most likely our starting 11 in the 2010 WC. Also as a devout fan I have to say Sam's Army is really annoying. I'm not sure of their "rituals" but whatever they were doing in the concourse at half time was stupid.
i like ching, donovan, and sacha together... there so quick and each bring something different to the us attack. usa looked solid the whole game, too bad the shutout streak had to end. go usa!
I gotta give credit to Cuba for that golazo

i agree that DC should be the home field, but they don't have the best fans. that's probably LA seattle or toronto in mls

I'm a RSL fan,b ut I'd SEattle has the best fans! There were so many, and loud, and very passionate.

haha and it's still funny that they've tried to put Beasley on defense during the costa rica game. beasley is still good at his age.

Sacha has really come in to his own for the MNT.
He has three assists already one of them on his debut and two tonight. Nice to see him hooking up with Beez.

DC supporters are awesome! only if all the fans from all the mls teams can join forces and support the usa, just imagine that!

I know Philly (Sons of Ben and others) was there in force. US soccer supporters seem to be getting more organized and committed.

They played like Spain, very technical, very beautiful passing. Now if they would have played a world class team it would have been close.

ill be honest, I think this is only 'mediocre' USA soccer. Cuba just looked totally lost ... Most of America's goals were pretty dumb ones.
