  • Wow! I have never heard of you. Green Smoothie Girl you ROCK!. I subscribe to Just A Photo Girl and she posted us to give you a peak.

I want my niece and I to adopt a healthier menu plan.>>>> These symbols are me checking out the rest of your blogs

    P.S.

    Your hair is lovely :-)

  • Thanks, this video is spot on even two years later! The pineapple are almost always $2.00 less than retail. Prep it and freeze it for smoothies. :)

  • Hey you forgot dates and nuts!

  • I find that Costco IS NOT CHEAP even with the high cost for membership. I get my food cheaper at FRY'S. Furthermore, our groceries and clothing are handed to us in aweful boxes, while the $1 store gives us bags. Will not renew my membership.

  • @Aeisree It actually is depending on what items you buy, Not everything they sell is the cheapest but most of what they sell though is top notch. When i buy products. I'm not just looking for how cheap it is primarily, I am looking for affordable items but i'm also looking for something that is sturdy and that will last a long time. Because when you think about it Products that last longer but are reasonably more expensive than other lower cost items are cheaper in the long run.

  • @Aeisree not every tiem though that costs more is more durable than others. I look and mix and match for durability and a good price. And costco seems to have done more than satisfied me with that. Especially their kirkland T shirts, It's around 15 for a pack of 4 black Tshirts, and 20 dollars for a pack of 6 white T shirts. They are one of the most comfortable T shirts i have ever worn and where a steal per item that comes with it (about 4 dollars per black T and 3 for each White T)

  • Costco does sell some organic products. The ones she mention are not. Costco carries organic carrots, organic quinoa, organic tomato paste, smart water, organic strawberry jam, almond butter, lara bars and a few others. Of course, the products vary a little depending on location. I've watched some of her other videos and she mentions that the studies that were made on eating greens were made on conventional produce however, is not only the pesticide, herbicides, etc. that is of much concern but

  • hey! where'd you get the rice milk? i've not seen it at mine...lol

  • @liesehaley Certain Costcos now carry Kirkland brand rice milk. I just saw it two days ago

  • Thanks for the tips

  • Folks . Some of the Best Tasting and Healthiest produce are Irregular shaped fruits and Veg . You will Never find them at Costco or Walmart .

  • Yeah, I just got my Costco membership and it's great! Awesome videos!

  • Question...WHAT ABOUT THE PESTICIDES! i EAT ORGANIC ONLY

  • I like that you use rice dream instead of soy! Soy is so unhealthy, we've all been tricked.

  • Hi, I wanted to know if frozen fruit loses any of it's vitamins being frozen as pasturized juice has? I always wondered that. I'm wondering if the freezing of the fruit changes the enzymes in any way. thanks

  • it drives me nuts how she blinks so slowly

  • I too have a costco membership for years not and have transition myself from buying most of my food there to health food stores and trader joes. the food from costco are not organic. The gas at Von's supermarket often give costco gas price a run for their money. Lately the only thing i get at costco now is the large distill vinegar at costco so now I am thinking of canceling my membership.

  • Infrequently I return some produce back to Costco...and they never give me any hassle about returning anything. I love the 3 lb frozen bag of organic blueberries....I use them in my smoothie too.

  • Re: $100 Costco membership. It's $100 if you get the membership that pays you back 5% of your spending. It's totally worth it to people that spend a whole lot at Costco every year. :)

  • Just wondering if this food is organic?

  • Do they have organic products?

  • they have agave at my costco, it was 50% less expensive than at my health food store.

  • lol, i love spinach in our green smoothies also.

  • San Francisco Costo has organic apples, mixed greens and spinach in 1 lbs boxes, and organic frozen mangos all of which I love in my smoothies. Since I only shop for one, Trader Joe's is a good buy, too!

  • Yeah, Trader Joe's Organic strawberries are a good deal. I'm really apprehensive when it comes to non-Organic Strawberries.

  • Costco sells Earthbound farm's Organic Spinach. Not sure why she didn't get it... It's quite a big bucket.

  • I Love Ms Robyn and Costco is pretty cool too. BUT, I purchased a bag of the romaine and it stayed in our refrigerator for over 2 months without spoiling-that was a little concerning to us. We KNOW that they are IRRADIATING our SPINACH supply now. Im going to start making some phone calls to these companies to see if they are irradiating any of these fruits and vegetables.

IRRADIATION OF PRODUCTS IS REQUIRED TO BE LABELED BUT NOT REGULATED.

    IRRADIATION IS NUCLEAR WASTE.

  • @loymonteiro Ummm... some vegetables have a very long shelf life. Romaine, kale and cabbage are 3 that I can think of off the top of my head.

  • @loymonteiro Monsanto controls the food supply as I hear it, and they are using all gmo foods now days. I think it's a big concern to our health when we have to pop vitamins in order to get the vitamins we need. We should be getting it from our diet instead, and if not then something drastic has to be done to change it.

  • @loymonteiro What's wrong with that? You will have superpowers after!

  • Robyn - how about a video on making yogurt and kefir. Just got my kefir grains...

  • But what if you only buy organic?

  • I haven't seen rice milk at our cost co just soy milk (we don't do soy) I keep telling friends "if only they sold organic rice milk" I better go find out if they can get some at our store. I would be in rice milk heaven!!! Its funny I just made a you tube video about buying organic at cost co, I will share it here. Its no were near the quality of your videos. But for those interested in organics take a look.

  • I paid 4 bucks for 10 lbs of organic whole carrots. I will dehydrate and use for a life time.

  • We just recently got our cost co membership. We did it mainly for our smoothie ingredients. The frozen fruit and spinach make it worth the membership fees alone. Just like you said! We hesitated with this for a while because its only me, my husband and our 2 year old. We only buy organic foods and figured there wouldn't even be this kind of food at a giant store like cost co. But every time I walk down an aisle I see something organic. Even organic breads, juices, fresh veggies.

  • Ditto on all these items except I had to stop buying avocados and bananas at our local store b/c the bananas ooze sticky goo in the sealed bag and the avocados are always bad inside :-( Costco simply cannot be beat for their awesome customer service, cleanliness and organization!

  • thanks so much for this video!

  • We've been Costco members for 20 years and I don't know what I'd do without it!

    Just to name a few:

These are staples in our home as well: Organic raisins at a fantastic price.

Organic Spring Green (lettuce) mix, organic carrots, 5# for just over $5!

Frozen blueberries, frozen smoothie fruit blend. Ours has organic quinoa - I sprout it for a tasty sprouted quinoa salad (search YouTube for the recipe)

We also buy limes, lemons, apples (organic), mangos, melons!

  • We dont have costco we have bj's is that the same company?

  • No, but BJ's might be a better deal if you're only shopping for two b/c they offer smaller sizes and they accept coupons!

  • have been debating whether to stay with Sams or go to Costco and your video was very helpful thanks!

  • We've found Costco to be much better overall!

  • We test drove both costco and sams club definetly go with costco. The only better point for sams club was that they sell a couple american made products in the non food isles that interest me, but for food cost co by far!

  • Awesome video Robyn, love to see more great videos.
