Also, he has a track with Keith Murray and Tech N9ne on the Undergods album called "Show Em What Crazy Is" (it's currently at the top of my queue) and it's a dope ass beat. The only recent album I have from him is Melatonin' Magick so I can't really speak much on a lot of his music lately. Dead By Design was a tight beat off that album

Also, he has a track with Keith Murray and Tech N9ne on the Undergods album called "Show Em What Crazy Is" (it's currently at the top of my queue) and it's a dope ass beat. The only recent album I have from him is Melatonin' Magick so I can't really speak much on a lot of his music lately. Dead By Design was a tight beat off that album

Way more people know Jay Z than Nas. But if you're talking about recognition in the hip hop community, then you're wrong. Just about every emcee lyrically worth a shit in rap knows or knows of Canibus. Just take a look at everybody he's worked with. Even 50 said Canibus was dope, and 50's weak.

I agree with you. Agree 100% as a matter of fact. A lot of these fools you're talking about (Eminem/Slaughterhouse) were actually influenced by Bis, and are prob still fans themselves. Influenced in terms of rhyme patterns and word chains definitely, not necessarily big words. I honestly can't even think of a nigga who touches Canibus in terms of pure lyricsm. You could easily make a case for him being the greatest lyricist of all time. Andre 3K is pretty smart too though.

bis use to be dope. when he started out, he was good lyrically. but ever since rip the jacker, he was like "look at how smart i am". sometimes he just sounds like a nerd when he's rapping. Maybe slaughter house doesnt use complex words. but at least they dont talk about space ships, apocalypse, and aliens all the time. Not taking anything away from bis, cause im a fan of him too. I just think slaughterhouse has a much better flow and world-play.

Let's throw this out there now, just because Canibus has an enhanced vocabulary doesn't mean no one can destroy him. Canibus is and will remain a beast but to me a battle within in songs is won by who says the most relevant insult mixed with insane lyrics. Canibus to me killed LL Cool J but rapping about pyramids and galaxies isn't going to score a victory. Canibus can't really say much about Slaughterhouse, to me. We will see though but I think Slaughter is going to kill him.

why are they even beefing..i did some engineering for joe budden 2 weeks ago and asked him about it but he didnt really wanna comment on it so i left it alone but Slaughterhouse would kill canibus when it comes to beats and the overall package of a diss song etc but canibus lyricaly would murder them but check out spring training by joe budden CRAZY......he killed canibus on that one
