Hey Everybody! I have just released my new album 'Unhinged' which is greatly inspired by great bands such as Ulver. You can stream or download the full album for free on my youtube channel!
For me, Ulver perfectly reflects how you mustn't see everything from only one perspective and how everything is in constant motion... changing... Also it intensifies kind of everything you think, feel, do, see. . . . thank you Ulver :).
does this song title have anything to do with the book House of Leaves? if you read it, you'll know exactly what line i'm talking about. just so goddamn oddly familiar and right on the spot. jusst ssayinnnn
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the music of Ulver. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
Hey everybody - I just released my solo album "Mirror Image" that contains ambient music (and upbeat electronic songs) heavily inspired by Kristoffer Rygg and the music of Ulver. If you're interested you can check out the songs on my youtube page, and links to my myspace page and places to download the full album are on my youtube channel as well :) .
just heard this song on pandora this weekend. nothing short of amazing. creepy and soothing at the same time. nice work :D definitely gonna check out more of their stuff.
@Nhordmyr Not ambient Black Metal, but Black Metal yeah. Their first album, Bergtatt, was more in the Pagan/Viking Black Metal spririt, then they recorded an acoustic album, and finally Nattens Madrigal was pure true Black Metal. Probably knowing that it was the best Black Metal album they could record, they changed direction.
@EvanMetalReaper No you dingbat, their first album is the definition of black metal. Has nothing to do with pagan or viking metal, it was PURE black metal with lyrics concerning Norwegian folk-tales.
Oh and never go pagan/viking metal again. Pagan metal is shit, viking metal is awesome. You're pissing on Quorthon's grave dude, and that pretty much entitles you to an eternity of torture and suffering.
.....eh....what happened? They made a masterpiece in Bergtatt, combining great black metal with even greater folk elements, then the rougher album, "Nattens Madrigal", which was just about as amazing as the previous release (I don't include the album between because I haven't heard it yet), but then this happens. Though I am a fan of this kind of music, I find it a little annoying that this came from a band that used to make my ears high with black metal.
I agree with Vladimir Milea. I don't like this very much. It's really strange and... I don't know how to describe.
I like the old Ulver, especially the Split with Mysticum and Bergtatt, but this isn't the type of music I like to listen.
But saying this isn't a reason for beeing blamed by people like you to be "the worst kind of Metalhead". With this statement you are far more intolerant than he is or I am.
As a person who mostly listens to BM it might sound strange, but I must admit that Perdition City is their best album. Their Black Metal works are marked as legendery but there is nothing like Perdition City, it's just perfect.
This was always my favorite song from this album
