@WutDfuzz Mr. Lif changed my view on music and life. Songs like new mans theme and this were my soundtracks for the past few weeks while debating to quit my only job. Best decision I ever made.
wow thats awsome ya the monitary system is so messed up and the world is corrupted from money and people have forgotton what is more important which is family our children and what kind of live we really want to live and i know no one wants to work there life away for companies and corporations that treat people like they r just replacable robots for lteraly portions of a penny

we still need to make money. Education gives us power, cant u see that? It is true we are victims of an evil society, but we have to do what we can to survive.
oh trust me. I do understand. I went to college for a bit. Now I own a business and it's rough.
I'm just saying. they make you take liberals and stuff and don't help guide you. They just kinda point you in a general direction and most people wind up dropping out or not using their degree
I quit my $50,000 a year job the day after I heard this song. It has been 2 years and I spend 85% of my day with my wife and daughter and make about $16000 a year.
@kinneas I most definitely did my friend. Of course that only worked out for a year or so... Back into the concrete jungle it is... Back to making around $45,000 a yr now. At least I love my job now though.. I also have a new addition to my family. A 3 month old boy, maybe it is time to hear this song again.

@burtflaxton nice man im hopefully gettin a good paying job which id get roughly 66 thousand dollars in 6 months 7 days on 7 off i jus plan on savin alot of money then investing it and shit finding a simple job like you did
@burtflaxton Fuck you man, your kids are gonna hate you for being poor as fuck.
News flash: Kids don't give a fuck about that shit when they hit their mid-to-late teens (and early 20's), when they're looking to shoot off in the world on their own. This is neigh impossible when your parents are fucking broke as hell. Some lift off that is.
When they go into the world by themselves, they'll take what you give them and double it - if you give them nothing, what have they got to double? Fuck you.
@omgitslukky07 you are a fucking disgrace. youre probably just pissed because no one gave you eveything you wanted and you had to actually work for something. who the fuck are you to say shit about the dudes kids or wife and want they do and dont want? so
@omgitslukky07 my grandma rasied me and we were poor as fuck and i wouldnt take back any of it because even though we lived from paycheck to paycheck she would still manage to get us stuff and it would be even better than anything else because we didnt get anything and everything we wanted, we were grateful that she could of gotten us anything. SO maybe u need to have a talk with ur fam and shit cuz idk sounds like you have issues
@burtflaxton for real brotha congratz i have mad respect for u as a human being im not selling my soul for a few more comforts in my life either it all fades away love is forever peace yall
I think I PHANTOM is the best album I've ever heard. great themes, awesome beats, amazing lyrics....stellar all the way through. totally relateable. it embodies america and the times we live in...getting a job, raising a family, etc.
also sick as hell! there are so many dope mc's from these times out there.. pharoahe's lines in "prisoners of war" >>all, but you're right, their whole stuff is really sick
This is one of my favorite tracks from Lif, the way he just delievers so perfectly, and I like Aesops chorus in this too. (And for the record it is "MILK CARTON", for those hard of hearing). I first thought "Phantom" was Lif's best track, but months and months of looking and listening to songs like "Datablend", "Success", "Universal", "Cro-Magnon", and others I found by looking through his LPS, and albums. Great song though, it's one of my favorites.
naw cuz el-p always uses the mechanical sounds and incorporates it with soft melodies, listen to all his classics mann. listen to deep space 9mm or like whats dat one song wit aesop and the 7 dwarfs in da intro same formula cuzzo
yeah (your thinking of Delorean) im familiar with his stuff, to me it just sounds different from a lot of his stuff because its not dark-sounding enough. its possible though.
loo yah exactly, delorean. naw im quite familiar with his stuff as well. i been a def jukkie since highschool. early onn,. eitha orr its good to see otha brothaz is into dis stuff too. outb where im at its all just whiteboys lollll
same since high school im in high school and im white, i dont really see how it makes a difference though. i dont know anyone else who even knows about def jux or any of its artists. but i know that many many black people like it, as much if not more than white people. so don't feel so self conscious about listening to it, theres no reason to
lol tru. and my bad i assumed form the screen pic u was. loll, eitha orr, yah i never knew anyone dat did geowing up. it sucked cuz u hear this stuff and it builds this energy inside of u u gotta let out and no where to channel it u know? other than making the music urself.
yeah it would be great to have friends who listen to this but i dont even bother showing them my music cause i know they wouldnt be able to appreciate it at all judging by what they listen to. but its cool though, i just make music
it is milk carton. why the hell would it be belt bucket? that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. when someone goes missing they appear on a milk carton not a belt bucket and in this case mr. lif who is the husband goes missing because he's busy working.
