@spliffsperlunk that has nothing to do with it you wast of space. you can buy a brand new 2 stroke from most new bike mfgrs. the reason that they dont build as many of them is because the technology in 4 strokes is much better than it was 15 years ago. in short a 4 stroke will kill a 2stroke today.

Everybody knows that when Naturally aspirated two strokes and fourstrokes are put head to head of comparable size that two strokes always produce more power due to the fact that every stroke is a power stroke in a two cycle not to mention it doesnt have the drag from the fourstrokes valvetrain.

If you werent an idiot you would know this.

Example any KX500 from the 90's will destroy any 450-600 4poke from today in hp and speed.

@spliffsperlunk yes some od the old two strokes will beatsome modern day 4 strokes. I'll give oyu that but i just ask you wht did they stop all together the production os the banshee and other two stroke 4 wheelers. Its because they just didn't work. the banshee is a great quad but you have to put about 3k into it to have any fun. but for example a yfz 450 with the same amount of money put into it will have more power and will there for beat a the banshee.

@1234tche 4 strokes cost more to modify than two strokes due to the valve train, On the other hand the banshee being a twin cylinder the difference is closed , however you could take an antuque carbureted 2 stroke 500 and a new fuel injected 450 and you;ll be able to get more HP per dollar out of the two stroke because of the expensive cost of valve work and camshaft no to mention assemby.

EPA regulations spelled the demise of the smoky two stroke.

hey man i have an 06 with the same pipes cool head and boost bottle its got aftermarket reeds but i didnt put them in i have a problem keepin the right cylinder running i have cleaned the carbs and replaced spark plugs. any ideas??

cut your front fenders so you can see those pipes better. Looks a lot better when those dumbo ears are gone.
