@MrCeej9999 somewhat piffle. They were a pop band in the early sixties but with Revolver and Rubber Soul they'd moved on. They were also hugely influential to american performers (e.g Dylan, Beach boys, Crosby Stills Nash) in songwriting terms. People were buying everything and anything in the sixties because there was so much good stuff about. Not just beatles and stones. Kinks, Who, Hollies, Animals, Mowtown, Blues, etc. Try reading Revolution In The Head to get an idea of what was going on.

The Beatles were deeply "uncool" right up until the 1990s. People act like they were hugely respected in the 1960s as artists - they weren't. They were a pop act, that little girls liked.

They remastered this AGAIN? As somebody who grew up with the original masters I wonder how many times one can remaster the same recordings! To me it sounds the same as the previous master-I know; I was THERE! Not knocking it at all-Beatles were the best that there ever was-just wondering about all this re-re-re-re-mastering!! And to all those who dislike this-THINK AGAIN!!!

@bullfrog1954 Uh, they were never re-mastered. The first cd release was the same transfer as the old vinyl. Cds released from 1982-1993 pretty much were not taking advantage of the dynamic range the technology offered. From 1994 on, mastering got a lot better. Sadly, some remastering is done poorly, where the sound levels are so high, you can't tell the improvement due to all the distortion. The Beatles remasters are pretty good.

@myself....The Beatles releases were remastered for the first time in 2009. It is true that George Martin remixed some of the songs for the 1987 cd releases, but they were hardly remastered.
