You retards who think bhop is dead, you can still bhop. Just do sv_enablebunnyhop 1 and sv_enableboost 1. If it's not enough, go download a tickrate enabler which can be found by googling it. Install it to a server and then run it. Bam there's your bhop.

@justt4ffun Yes but we took the time to learn how to bhop. It's very hard to land bhops consistently and gain speed, and those that complain about it just haven't tried. EVERYONE can learn how to bhop, no matter how much time you dedicate to it, nor how expensive your computer is.

Youtube censors links, so do a google search for "List of counter-strike source bugs". First link. Steam does not acknowledge bhop as a bug but as an intended part of the game, falling under the category of air strafing (being able to change direction in mid-air by strafing).

... Bunny hopping was possible ever since Half-Life first came out because the engine is based off of the quake engine. So that would include every CS version from beta to 1.6. It just so happens that Valve decided to carry over this trait to Source. At any rate, bhopping is nowhere as useful in 1.6 as it is in source and it should remain in both games. Taking it away would be like taking out strafe jumping in Quake 3.

Also, it decreases the skill gap once again in Source. I don't think that needs to happen anymore considering how much smaller the gap is in Source than a lot of other games like 1.6, CPM, or even VQ3. There are still things to master in source but taking away bhopping is dumb because it limits what people can do with the game even more.

bhop is for pros, zb_bunnyfix is for newbs. i agree that in the 4.1 its hella easy to bhop, tho i can still bhop at 4.4 with no problems, except examples: cbble ramp, cbble link ramp, and all sorts of ramps... :S it just stops., thats why i like 4.1 :P but hate the def kit bugz... :/

not hard to fix. if your server has 4.3 zblock and you have rcon, type in console, rcon zb_bunnyfix 0 automatically fixes it like it was before.

Secondly, They have plans to upgrade every source game to the Orange Box version of the Engine from current version 38. They do update the game, but as it's the most active game for hacking of any, it's mostly vac2 that's updated rather than the game itself, there are plans for september 09 of a huge engine update.
