C'mon now. McCoy may be a soft QB, but the criticism of pocket QBs is way off. Some of the greatest QBs in history have been pocket QBs even before the 'softening' of the game. The running, athletic QBs don't last in the league because they are taking serious punishment. You can't help your team if you are hurt and there are not enough good QBs. If we all just go hell for leather and hit without regard your players won't last more than a few years and end up like Earl Campbell tough or not.

And 90% of america agrees with his sentiment....in fact if you ask McCoy about it, he'd say it was a good hit as well. He didn't throw the flag, the ref threw the flag. I don't see ANY "soft cottonball" QB in the NFL asking for special treatment. You think Ben Rothlesburger wants special treatment. NO. He's a SUPERIOR athlete. Much more so than someone like say....Michael Vick, because Vick is always ridin' the bench being hurt. You can break Ben's leg and he stays in the game he's so SUPERIOR
