the album was pretty much about addiction. this has been one of my favorite albums, and this my favorite song in all for years. its about coming to grips with who has brought you to whatever situation your in at that moment. you created it all. it's like staring into a mirror reflection and it talks back to you telling you this. but you refuse to hear the words of truth. you control your own destiny. in a way it could be seen as the atheist anthem. it's not god who did this to you. its you.
I think that song is claim from Eric to Alan, (for gaining all credits and fame) remember that Alan dont believe that Eye in the Sky to be title of the disk
I agree with you... I am atheist too and hate it when peole see connections to religion in APP songs... I don't know what they thought when they created their music, but for me has been always fantasy, even something alien... I think believers just see religious signs everywhere, they see a shadow on the floor and imagine it means a message from their god... anyway, thanks for your videos :)
thanks for the mention on the credit and I want to say something about the religious idea, you not alone, I believe in this idea too because Ammonia have a very strong conection with religion, could be great if you make a new version video with that concept
You do always 10 times better than I would, and often insert cross references to other APP albums, like the eye-zooms on the back of "Eye in the sky" - which let us think about an "eye" theme connection between EitS and the following AA.
Clever take on the APP symbol, the Eye of Horus.
