  • I saw John perform this in the late 80s. He recorded it on vinyl and I have a copy which I treasure. This is a beautiful song

  • Love this song!

  • John Bramwell needs a damn big hug! I love this song.

  • Your voice is so good, it inspired these lines from a half dead, written blocked mind. O that voice, that which They gave you to play Makes you wonder why Your mind don't go away As the battles lost as the song, it is won And all the thoughts you're thinking, thinking they're having fun As that sound, sins for the soul You can't even dig it As you can't afford a hole(tbc)
  • Does anyone know where I can download this song from at all? I can't find it on any of their albums or b-sides. :(

  • Found my tape of 'You me and the Alarm clock' when I returned to Manchester from Singapore a year ago. As a bonus I found that way back when I taped 'Subway life' from the north of england compilation to the end. Now happily drivin the streets of Singapore in a car as old as the album itself.

    Sweet.

I really should get it onto CD before the tape gets chewed....
