i've never heard of having ice cream with pancakes, that makes it a dessert not pancakes for breakfast, and that is way too much butter unless you put the butter in the batter before you cook it ; doing it like you did makes the first pancakes soak up most of the butter :(

Self raising flour is the WORST choice you can use for making pancakes. Get your plain flour and baking powder out, so you can actually control the thickness of your pancakes properly. Self-raising flour will raise during the cooking process but then shrink again almost immediately.

I will never make anything close to this, your pancakes have more fat than you should in a day and including ice cream and chocolate sauce puts you easily over 1000 calories. What a unhealthy recipe, this a recipe that it taste goods for 2 minutes when you eat it and you feel awful afterward.
