If this guy were going to make a character profile on Ranma Saotome, I'm actually glad he decided to focus more on Ranma's female half. I always did much prefer Ranma as a girl. However, one thing I never understood: why didn't Ranma and Genma just go straight to the spring of drowned man right after becoming cursed while still at the valley of springs?
To all the fans who are begging for a male Ranma video, I believe this video is more important. Even though both genders are needed for Ranma, without his girl curse, the show might not even exist at all.
At first, I thought it was sad that *SPOILER* Ranma got rid of his curse in the manga, but when I look back at it, I remember saying that I would miss female Ranma when I finish it, and thinking about it, I think God is helping Ranma by not letting him go back to Jusenkyo. LOVE RANMA!!!
The "curse" is of course intentional. Ranma had too much Yang, which would've prevented certain martial arts skills. He was also overly Yang and slightly misogynist. So God or fate balanced him with a Yin form. He thusly becomes a better martial artist (learns how to use Yin energy) and learns to appreciate/respect women. He also... undeniably ... learns to enjoy being female. It's like a strange, modern day fable.
It's like putting a jock male in a female body and watching the results.
To say that Ranma was slightly misogynist before he was a girl is slightly unfair. He had almost no experiance with women before, and he was quite polite to Akane until she unfairly called him a pervert. Normal men cannot hold grudges against woman, but as being one, he is denied the psychological separation from woman.
When his female ying was exausted from the womanhood episode, a few weeks later when the insense was used on him, his female yang went completely out of control.

That is a very VERY good point that I've touched on before. Jumping into Nannichuan could feasibly turn Ranma into a hermaphrodite. But maybe he would need to jump in, dry off, and repeat until the female genetailia finally fades away!
Nope, because Ranma would jump into two different pools, so his next curse would override the previous one. Taro jumped into a single pool, that had all those things drown in it at the same time. So for him to become a hermaphrodite, he would jump into one where a man and a woman drowned at the same time.
Actually, it doesn't override it. During Taro's second appearance, he jumped into another pool and added tentacles to his already monstrous transformation
I read that part, and no where in those chapters, did it show that he JUMPED into the octopus pool. In that chapter, it also shows that the cursed water only affects the parts it touches, so Taro probably only dipped his back in the octopus pool.
Taro was bathed in the Niuhōmanmaorennīchuan. It was a Yeti riding an Ox, while holding an Eel and Crane. If you read the second-to-last volume of the manga, then you'd see that the person only has to fall into the spring. Akane fell and it became the Spring of Drowned Akane, but she didn't actually drown.
am I the only one that realizes Ranma can NEVER be cured with the Spring of Drowned Boy? I mean, look at Pantyhose Taro, his curses mixed, wouldn't Ranma jumping into the Spring cause him to be half boy and half girl literally, like body of girl...and a few parts boy...while in his cursed form?

That is a very VERY good point that I've touched on before. Jumping into Nannichuan could feasibly turn Ranma into a hermaphrodite. But maybe he would need to jump in, dry off, and repeat until the female genetailia finally fades away!

Nope, because Ranma would jump into two different pools, so his next curse would override the previous one. Taro jumped into a single pool, that had all those things drown in it at the same time. So for him to become a hermaphrodite, he would jump into one where a man and a woman drowned at the same time.

Actually, it doesn't override it. During Taro's second appearance, he jumped into another pool and added tentacles to his already monstrous transformation

I read that part, and no where in those chapters, did it show that he JUMPED into the octopus pool. In that chapter, it also shows that the cursed water only affects the parts it touches, so Taro probably only dipped his back in the octopus pool.

I have a hard time believing that the pools work that way. Then again, Rumiko Takahashi did say that we shouldn't think about it too much

...Taro was in one that had an Ox, Crane, and something else...then the Octopus one...which raises teh question, how the hell did an Octopus drown?

Taro was bathed in the Niuhōmanmaorennīchuan. It was a Yeti riding an Ox, while holding an Eel and Crane. If you read the second-to-last volume of the manga, then you'd see that the person only has to fall into the spring. Akane fell and it became the Spring of Drowned Akane, but she didn't actually drown.

am I the only one that realizes Ranma can NEVER be cured with the Spring of Drowned Boy? I mean, look at Pantyhose Taro, his curses mixed, wouldn't Ranma jumping into the Spring cause him to be half boy and half girl literally, like body of girl...and a few parts boy...while in his cursed form?
