@jonathanmanuelmusa Well, they were going to add a aquatic stage but didn't because of technical difficulties. The spore game was also originally a more darker setting, but the Lead Developer decided he wanted to balance cute with realism.

I was disappointed by this game because I wanted it to be more of a sim, like sim life back in the day and for it to have interstellar war similar to MOO2 and other games of that ilk.

I think what is also nice is that he become a legend without a degree, he attended LSU for a while, then went to Louisiana Tech, then the New York school, but finished with no degree. I believe will is a great example of what a person can do based on their own creativity and willpower. He showed he didn't need a degree to be successful. I am not degrading obtaining a degree, I'm in college myself, but it just goes to show you that doing things by the system sometimes isn't the best way.

The particular species you choose to create is being controlled by a "god:" The player. What do you think the "creature creator" is? You can make your creature 100% different, that's not evolution.

new expansion need to add, more resources, new types of creatures(flying swimming etc) new stages, longer stages, and more exploration for stages other than space
Great game, but i wish they would let you have more options like being a bird, or sea creature, or even just letting you have something other than leathery skin, like wool. It would also be nice if they had more resources than just spice. Hopefully some of this will come in later patches or expansion packs
@scottaino They nearly added an Aqua stage, but that would contradict the civilization making because there are little resources underwater and end the game early, they didn't want to do that.
spore was more kinda like a science game+WoW+WCIII+unlimited fun=my type of game it did have science cause it shows you what happends if you choose to be mean or nice and stuff its an amazing game the graphics are pretty good too this game was one of my favorites and i can play it any time

I think what is also nice is that he become a legend without a degree, he attended LSU for a while, then went to Louisiana Tech, then the New York school, but finished with no degree. I believe will is a great example of what a person can do based on their own creativity and willpower. He showed he didn't need a degree to be successful. I am not degrading obtaining a degree, I'm in college myself, but it just goes to show you that doing things by the system sometimes isn't the best way.

Spore is much more like God than science. Evolution is really nothing like the game. If you took the time to learn science or reason, you would know how evolution works, and know that this game strays widely from that path.

its toned down to fit in the game ...do u have any idea how hard it is to program a game AND make it follow 100% science ... the evolution in the game is just a summary.
u , the player ..basicly ur an exterior force ...not a god since u didnt create the galaxy ...but ur just meddling around ...and the game isnt about creationism since whent he meteor hits there are other organisms there ...
ur first cell in the game is an alien .. messing around with the planet and conquering it laterwards...

I realize it's hard to make it follow science 100%. It's an entertaining game, and would be much less so if they followed evolution perfectly. The particular species you choose to create is being controlled by a "god:" The player. What do you think the "creature creator" is? You can make your creature 100% different, that's not evolution.

now how the hell would u make that a game? would make ur creature evolve randomly? that wouldnt be too fun ...the game just follow the most basic idea of evolution ..and its more about macroevolution anywayz....cell > creature> empire...

First off, stop trying to act smart, get facts straight and it may just help a little in your pathectic attampts to make yourself look better, secondly, I'd like to see you try to make an evolution game that would appeal to the general, narrow-minded population and make sure that it's still completely scientificly accurate, and thirdly, it is NOT like God, does being the alpha of your species, being the head of your civilization or being a captain in space sound like God to you?

My pathetic attampts? If you're going to bash on my intelligence, you should have some first. And picking what features and what type of existence your creature has is much more God like than evolution. I never said it was a perfect analog for god, but its closer to that than real evolution. I have degrees in microbiology and evolutionary biology, I know what I'm talking about kid.

I'll make this simple for you. 1. I have intelligence as a matter of fact, and not only in terms of grades, which is what most narrow-minded insects would think, but i doubt you, with your brains already being fucked out, can't come close to thinking deeply as i have, yes I'm 14 but yet again, I'm different, very different. 2. its pretty close to evolution, competition driving cooperation, taking the competition to the next level.

I'm just saying evolution is incredibly dynamic and complicated, and if anyone confuses Spore as being demonstrative of evolution, they are sorely mistaken. The player chooses everything about their creature, from appearance to actions. I don't think 9th grade text books cover the topic too thoroughly.

Great game, but i wish they would let you have more options like being a bird, or sea creature, or even just letting you have something other than leathery skin, like wool. It would also be nice if they had more resources than just spice. Hopefully some of this will come in later patches or expansion packs

@scottaino They nearly added an Aqua stage, but that would contradict the civilization making because there are little resources underwater and end the game early, they didn't want to do that.

Spore has science? It did? Since all I have seen is creatures sitting in their nests constantly and not leaving. Your cell should be labeled multicellular, and it skips the aquatic stage between cell and creature. Way to go.

it's true. spore is an extremely scientific game, because it's about evolving your creatures from a single cell, to a space captain. it also involves astronomy and other life forms on different planets.

Yes, infact you goback there quite often, as it serves as your "home base" where ship repairs are free and goods are much cheaper. You will also be called inoften to defend your planet from attack from either space pirates or enemy empires.
