I just got the Strike from my LHS, and have ran 5 or so packs through it, and the only mishap was I lost a front e-clip on the lower suspension arm. But I got another and was back in business. Being I got my truck less than a month ago would it be safe to say I wont have to worry about the bad dogbone batch, or will I. It is totally stock for now but i will put in a brushless system in the next month or so, but its worked well, but reverse sucks.
@mikemontgomery1970 Your prob ok, unless your LHS was sitting on the truck for a long time. My junk DB's were silver and my good DB's are black... If you have the black ones ur in good shape. (assuming)
Looks pretty good! Lipo's are makin you too fast for the camera lol :) Someday the Slash will get lipo, then it'll be back to shred some more dunes in Glamis, hopefully get some speeds like you're gettin.
hi, nice vid. i just got a used strike. i have a rusty vxl. im thinking of putting the vxl system in the strike. i run a 3s lipo in my rusty. what battery did you use? and what mods/upgrades did you do to the strike to handle the brushless power? do any parts break frequently?
@999benhonda venom 3s 4000mah. The truck should hold up just fine as long as you got one after they found the axle problem. They had a bad batch of weak axles.
@traxfan32 not sure which batch mine was, i got it lightly used. i have already bought the losi CVD's for when the stock dogbones go. i have run5-6 packs through the strike without anything breaking. i was worried when i 1st bought it as a saw a post on RCU that showed a bent dogbone AND and bend slipper shaft. i have never before seen a RC that bent the slipper shaft. and that strike was stock, not brushless.
Your biggest problem will be traction. there is not enough weight in the rear due to the motor position. unless ur in sand!! lol with some slingshots!
@MrQuickscopzz Bajr body $35, vxl esc and motor $150, 3s lipo $60, top speed. Priceless!
