Hey Maama23, I initially want to say that you should beware of statistics. People quote stats all of the time and have no facts to support it. I submitted some comments on the "My 5 facts....Setbacks in the black community posted by twalk 2008. I challenge and invite anyone who can read this to read my comments and respond. I think outside of the matrix and I feel that I have a greater wisdom than most people you see on TV because I have done extensive research on my people and our problems.
Hey, I live in Canada where Starbucks have eight stores in an area with a population of only 60,000. In fact, they've got two stores in one small shopping centre. Please don't look at Starbucks as attacking the black community because hell, they're attacking everyone for that matter.

Im black. I grew up in the ghetto. I grew up in a single parent home. My mom did the best she could. Being young, black and growing up in a poverished community, you must have mentality and a work ethic to want to get out of there. Instead of buying rims with 4500$. Save it and add to it. We need to stop blaming these white people for everything. They talk about the way we talk, walk, dress and that just wont ever end. Carry yourself with class and BLACK MEN BE FATHERS DAILY TO YOUR CHILDREN

I wonder why people are so quick to blame the church when many of those passing judgement are ...church goers? Isn't the church supposed to be the members of the body of Christ? So, if this is true then why is society in the shape its in? I feel Christian people are ignorant of their own faith. God did not tell Christians to go about in blindness and act as if they don't see the condition of the world. God told Christians to change the world by upholding the very commands that He gave.
2. Stop worshiping God / Jesus as your savior. For, if he or they WERE really OUR saviors WE would be free by now (and if he or they are not our saviors we would be to some extent free), THET ARE NOT our saviors therefore; they ARE toolz of our oppression. God is the white mans own personal creator and enemy to our species and our world.
