The exact date escapes my mind as to when gaming started on the pc. As for your argument about the anolog stick, pc's have had something far better for many years, a mouse. Controlling with the wasd or arrow keys isnt that hard, and having a mouse makes things like shooting far easier and simplistic. I never asked for you to "care" about pc games, if you dont thats fine. I listed 3 great games on the pc for you, and there are alot of crappy console games out their too, if you dont know.

The hobby of 'gaming' started on the early consoles such as the Atari and NES. The first video game was Tennis for Two(Not pong as most people believe) on the oscillop. Pong was not widley played enough to be considerd to be gaming. PC's in ye' olde days had a maximum memory of around 8mbs(The equivallent in price to what would be 4 gigabytes) They didn't have enough memory to game.

what's amazing is all this stuff is actually what u see in the game, it's not a scripted cutscene, i have seen the 1st lvl gameplay where u play as Vader, and he blew bridges down like that in the real game, all the objects and characters act in a very well done physics simulation.

this game is going to be sick as hell.
