A couple tips:
1) Science adjusts its views based on what's observed. There is no secrecy. If there is evidence that an accepted idea is wrong, it is openly scrutinized, and the idea is corrected. Evolution is not one of those ideas.
2) NO theory becomes more than that. A theory attempts to EXPLAIN what occurs. The "theory" of evolution isn't that it exists, but how and why it works.

For example, we haven't yet fully figured out why gravity works, other than it does--but there are theories out there. Just as we attempt to explain evolution, which has been OBSERVED, by a theory.

Dawkins also demonstrates that a gradual increase in the concentration of hydrogene peroxide...

The purpose was only to refute the claim made by creationists that the existence of the bombardier beetle's defense mechanism is indisputable proof that the beetle could not have come into existence by a step by step evolutionary process.

A couple tips:
1) Science adjusts its views based on what's observed. There is no secrecy. If there is evidence that an accepted idea is wrong, it is openly scrutinized, and the idea is corrected. Evolution is not one of those ideas.
2) NO theory becomes more than that. A theory attempts to EXPLAIN what occurs. The "theory" of evolution isn't that it exists, but how and why it works.

@Pendu068 You're still hung up on the wrong idea of what a "theory" is. A scientific theory is much more than the way people use "theory" on a day to day basis. In science, a theory is established in an attempt to explain WHY or HOW a natural phenomenon that is *clearly observable* works. For example, we haven't yet fully figured out why gravity works, other than it does--but there are theories out there. Just as we attempt to explain evolution, which has been OBSERVED, by a theory.

Even now there are tests going on because there's evidence to suggest that some things CAN go faster than the speed of light after all! But this doesn't make science bad, it just means that we LEARN as we go along. And when those ideas change, those text books are UPDATED--as they have been for decades.

I was just like those kids many years ago. I would have believed anything my pastors and Christian school teachers told me. I found Ken Ham and other similar speakers to be remarkably inspiring. It wasn't until early college that it even occurred to me to actually investigate evolutionist claims, rather than dismissing them outright as I had been taught to do.

Dawkins demonstrates that it is in fact not the hydroquinone, but a catalase (which exists in the cells of the beetle) mixing with the hydrogen peroxide that produces the explosive reaction. Dawkins also demonstrates that a gradual increase in the concentration of hydrogene peroxide...

@Pendu068 He is giving proof of evolution, he is pointing out that the concentration has increased, he has given proof against creationism. When watching the video there are also a lot of adults and i do not think that 12 is too young to be discusing evolution. I was around that age when i learnt about the two. I then had the choice and i chose the one with evidence to support it.

@LeroySh Perhaps you need to watch it again then. There is nothing in anything that Dawkins says that is proof of anything other than a demonstration of how chemical compounds react together. If that is his proof of evolution then you have just confirmed that Dawkins is a fraud. He is not discussing evidence for evolution with those children, he is deceiving them with a stunt.

@Pendu068 It wasn't a 'stunt', he proved how the beetle could have evolved using the concentrations and even if it was at least he was trying to convince them using logic. In this video they just tell them that god exists and made us in 6 days. I was once a christian and even when I was I knew that they were just stories. Some parts of the bible, if you are going to follow that religion are not to be taken seriously, otherwise you just end up like those idiots.

@LeroySh So by your reasoning then, if my name was Dawkins & I mixed some water with some dirt & rolled it into a ball, then I have the authority to say to a group of impressionable children that this is how planets are formed. What utter nonsense. Mixing potions to demonstrate a stunt of what he knows to be unproven of anything, other than a chemical reaction, is at best alchemy, not science. Especially to a group of young children. This vid speaks to young children at their level.

@Eunuchification One might try a stunt as Dawkin's did to a group of adults with a more mature ability to reason & in an effort to encourage them to consider his evolution beliefs, but even then it is drawing a very long bow. His stunt proves nothing. Hence my statement about dirt and water.Not once in his presentation to impressionable children did he explain that his 'belief' was unproven & just a ploy to discredit creation science, What the children saw they would believe.

In addition, I still don't understand how you rationalize that his demonstration was just a "ploy to discredit creation science." Please explain.

@Eunuchification My reference is in regards to the age of the children in Dawkins video who would have accepted it as gospel, without question or reasoned understanding. I do not have any great issue with the content of this post as kids have evolution shoved down their throats from a very young age as fact which it is not. Regardless of our difference of opinion it has never progressed beyond a theory at very best.This video at least presents to the children at their level.

@Pendu068 You have just repeated your last statement, if you watch you will see how he explains why he was doing that to show how the creatures evolved, I have had to repeat myself again which is ridiculous. Creationism should not be taught along side evolution, it is not science it is belief. The only reason why Dawkins would look bad is because people like you feel the need to argue your belief system into classrooms. You cannot base science on belief.

@Pendu068 Whilst I understand the argument, one used in George Orwell's novel 1984 and possibly Animal Farm, I can now use the same argument against you. When I was younger I was lead to believe in a god because the rest of my family did, it all made sense, but then I had never been told anything different. I had to find out evidence for myself and I chose the logical route in not believing in a god.
