Yeah if you go to the very South East of OL you can make it to Eversong woods, because there connected to the same instance. Same from outside Eversong woods behind the portal you can see OL.

If you fly wayyyyyy east and over the boundary you'll find that the Blood Elf and Draenei starting zones, Silvermoon, and even Quel'Danas are ALL part of the same mapfile - Expansion01.mpq. :D

there is a ship in the twisting nether m8, in the middle, between hellfire peninsula and Netherstorm, its easy to find but it isn't anything special, go check it out, its teh easy 2 find

ive had a chat with a GM, apparently there are defanatly no pirate ships in space in outlands, same with under silverspine.

Yes, I've seen it. I'm not sure if this is a glitch but there's a certain spot where you can fly over the twisting nether directly from Hellfire to Netherstorm. That was the first time I saw the ship. The ship is perfectly reachable without glitching and is not hidden content. It's simply a ship on a rock in space. Perhaps it's there to indicate that Netherstorm was once near the sea?

Most likely before the planet was destroyed there had once been a sea ^.^ mostlikely alot of the twisting nether was an ocean
