  • When Brett read it I laughed so hard that I woke my family up XD

  • Thank god for game show network. I love watching reruns of this game.

  • I'm from Billings Montana...and he's right...they don't give us sharp objects :(

  • Brett is terrific in the opening sequence!

  • look at fannie's shirt! that is a crazy shirt you must be really bold to wear something like that haha.......does anyone get the PS : Please excuse the pencil? and why gene tried to hush him up? me confused haha

  • @ClassicsWEREandARE I think he was going to say "they don't allow us to have sharp objects at the whacky shack." (or which ever euphemism you prefer) He was jokingly intimating that the person was obviously crazy if they thought Gene was fabulous.

  • Richard Dawson actually seemed nice there.

  • Just LOVE Johnny O's ad lib "Now let's give a HAND for the star of our show, Gene Rayburn!"

  • @DENo1MatchGameFan Shows us all how good at improv Johnny O is.

  • @gladfan1989 He was definitely one of the best game show announcers, and is GREATLY missed today! Rod Roddy was a good replacement, but no one since then has come close on "The Price Is Right" in making "Come on down!" a staple like he did!

  • I WANT DAWSON'S JACKET!!!

  • Fannie Flagg wears..it's true! LOL!

  • I love watching these old episodes of "Match Game", especially the ones with Richard Dawson. I don't care that he's in his 70's, he's still the coolest guy on Earth!

  • I watch Match Game all the time on GSN. I remember seeing Fannie's shirt but I don't remember ever seeing Richard's.

  • "Please excuse the pencil, they do not allow sharp objects..." :)

  • Hahaha, Brett! "It's true!" <3 Match Game!

  • Shouldn't it be the "host of our show" instead of "star of our show".

  • No...even though the panelists ran with most of the gags, it was Gene's show first and foremost.

  • No, it is the star. Back in the 70s, it was more commonly accepted.

  • God I miss this show. Every game today is soooooooo LAME!

  • Man, those must have been the good old days. When women wore falsies rather than getting breast implants, so when you got them home you could take off the dumb bra and see their beautiful natural breasts. Nowadays you're stuck with the basketballs all the time.

  • Uhh... whatever floats you boat.

  • You actually like the fake boobs? Wow, I've never met such a person before. I think the balloons are floating _your_ boat, not mine.

  • Or just... whatever floats. :D

  • what scares me is that I remember these shows. I am so old! LOL!

  • lol your lucky, i wish i was around when they were on tv for the first time

  • So do I. I wish I was alive during ALl in the family and Match Game and all those good shows. Now they show crap on television.

  • MG was the best of the best. It was a mah-velous time to enjoy TV. It all started to go to garbage beginning in 79.

  • Why is Charles Nelson Reilly dressed up as the "Statue of Liberty"?? LOL

  • because he is an actor lol

  • LOL, Fannie wears falsies!! I liked his shirt, and Fannie's too. And Gene in the opening is just sitting there like a notch on a log.
