  • I-tunes don't seem to have this song in their archives. Does anyone have any idea,to where I can purchase it?

  • I thought it was a beautiful piece it served me as a brief moment of reflection. Thank you

  • I don't get it, but I'm sure it has a deep meaning. lol

  • Skate u are stupid -.-

  • Skate, you have the intelligence of a frog.

  • lmfao at

    jeffkid101's

    comment.

    :)

  • So few people on youtube seem to understand the poetic nature and meaning of this video.

The song was a very good choice, works perfectly.

  • Please respect that !!

  • How wrong you are.

  • because they are fat, ugly and dont shave...=))) so they only thing they have to show off for is their feministic approach=)

  • uum.. i dont get it.. all i see is shoes..

  • But what a great looking pair of ruby red shoes they are. There's no place like home. Home in a body she can live in. Get it? Let the music take you home. I loved it!!!

  • Okay........

  • a day in the life...of a frog

  • lmao skate

  • nice song and shoes.

  • this song kind of reminds me of Nina Nastasia, she's a folk artist from new york. check her out, i think you'll dig. You can hear some live performances here on youtube. "counting up your bones" - great song.

    Rawk on Ashley!

  • What size of shoes do you wear? Just wondering =)

  • These are women's 8.5s

  • Was that you singing? Was that your song?

  • That song sounds like someone sang over a metallica song.

  • Awesome.

  • Nice, but I would of preferred you wore a skirt instead of pants.

  • I came back to hear your poem and I saw this video. On that video I said "I am not in your shoes" and now you show me your shoes :). Only now I realize how different are our shoes ! :)

  • Cute shoes.

  • I have those shoes. It feels like I was looking at my feet.

  • neat!!

  • very sexy. part two will be your hands? your hands are beautiful and they way you move them,, very sexy.

oh, as for this anxiety-arty thing, is it anything romantic in your life that is making you nervous??

  • lol no, i'm not nervous. just doing something purely for art. ;)

    <3

  • well im not gonna say i get it, however i do verry much respect that you made it, art in all forms is beauty so its beautiful because of what it is and that it means something to you... good job

  • Thanks for the endorsement anyway. :)

  • I LOVE this piece and favorited it....its poignant and affecting in its simplicity. Beautiful. And if others don't 'get it'....oh well, nothing you can do.

  • yeah, what should i expect from the youtube peanut gallery.

  • love love love it Ashley!!

  • yay love

  • amazing, amazing video!

  • Thank you, thank you!

  • ok wtf... looks like shoes to me... not what i would buy or wear but they are shoes... so explain this again....

  • read my comment on the side. :)

  • Artistic expressions are always subject to the receipient's point of view, that is the beauty of art; but it is also its own curse.

The best approach is to think what the creator is thinking and try to understant his/her point of view.

I like what you did, specially when I read your comment.

we all feel like you every once in a while

    congratulatins

  • *curtsies*

  • I hadn't seen your reply until now. That is so feminine thank you

I always appreciate a nice delicate gesture, very rare in these days.

I wish more ladies follwed your example.

Something I like about you is that you take time to reply to almost every comment (at least the ones worth replying; either negative or positive) that speaks of good education and manners, very rare in these days

  • I'm a statement kind of bitch! :)

  • Sorry folks, and Ashley, but it's a pair of feet. Distorted music and a message that only btex99 managed to mangle. Don't try so hard Ashley you can do better.

  • Sorry you didn't like it, others did.

  • Reminds me of this excerpt from Vulgar and Popular Opinions from Art-Language May 1975.

This is a hopeless manqué ontological alienation which is still dealing with ideas about discovery as a function of a metaphysics of categories. Only for researchers is the failure of a modal logic industry to catch-my-experience-the birth of tragedyThat we never catch up with NaturKulturLogik has little to do with the actualizing sets of the frozen dialogue

Oh, don't forget to lighten up :)

  • *rolls eyes* :-P

  • I think this vid can mean different things to different people. It kinda hit home for ME in ways. I guess the subtle movements symbolize being anxious and wanting to join in, participate or do something.

  • glad you took something good out of it. :)

  • Hun, I think I can understand the feeling on certain nights being dressed up eager to do SOMETHING, but no where to go nor no one to do anything with.

  • I think I do know this feeling, though my shoes were *black*, and the places to go around here are populated by hicks instead of Ashley.

  • Not many places are populated by Ashley's...I did do a test run with me in my black shoes, but liked the red ones better.

  • It is amazing how powerful simplicity can be. If someone had told me yesterday that a three minute video of someone's feet could make me cry, I would not have believed it. I am not sure I'm happy about the mood it put me in, but maybe I need some kicks to remind me how short life is. I'm surprised at the number of "I don't get it" comments before - I get it big time. By the way, I did take your advice about finding professional help (first session Friday - yeah).

  • I'm really glad for you, hope it goes well! *hugs*

  • cute.

  • thanks.

  • Humh well it is deep I will have to think about it now. And I have to much to think about already. any way 5 stars. PS nice shade of red.

  • Thank you, deep thinking is always good!

  • I honestly thought I was going to see a drop or two of water hitting the floor, as if teardrops. Kind of feeling that, but it's bedtime too and I've references to contact and a resume to revise tomorrow so that's part of it!

I do feel the spirit of this video though.

  • Gah! I'm doing the same. This was a really good comment. I had considered doing that instead of moving my feet, but I opted for the antsy foot movement instead.

  • Ashley, I think a lot of us are a bit clueless on this video. But I'm sure you had a very deep message here, grins.

  • Did you read the note on the side, I explain it. :)

  • feet tell all

  • Especially when people put their feet in their mouths! :-o

  • I totally fast-forwarded it all the way to the end to see if anything happened.

    ever considered taking up photography?

  • I have, its a dead art.

  • I've been watching/ reading a lot about Warhol lately; the Sleep and Empire films come to mind.

  • I haven't seen either of those two films! I should!

  • Well, they're 6 and 8 hours long, respectively! One is a man sleeping; the other is a stationary shot of the Empire State Building. They're meditations/ philosophical works on time passing in general, really, whereas yours is directly personal.

  • mine actually isn't very personal.

  • I am a guy i just dont understand what this video is about.

  • Did you read my statement about the piece on the side?

  • Oaky i can just lie and say i loved watching a video and all their doing is showing their feet. sorry i left a poor comment.

  • *sigh* I can relate.

I'm kinda a homebody, anyway, but this just makes it worse.

  • *hugs* Noting wrong with being a homebody. I am too. Peace and quiet is nothing to shake a stick at.

  • Ashley: I used to be like that, but not anymore. Life is simply too short. But, I can understand why some feel the need to shut themselves up in their rooms. Your artistic video conveys to much inner angst and is quite beautiful. Brava!

  • Yeah thankfully much of that angst is behind me.

  • *(hugs)*

  • *hugs*

  • its not my kind of video. so i will give it 4 stars.

  • art isn't for everyone.

  • i think i have seen this one b4???

  • shuddup! :-P

  • cute shoes though :P

  • I know that feeling all too well.

  • *hugs*

  • Yes, have been there and am there again. Hauntingly beautyful music, by the way.

Hang in there Ashley, this too shall pass.

  • I was actually in a good mood making this. It was more just a kind of artistic stroke combined with some memories that i'm sure everyone shared. Thanks though. :)
