  • my dinner for today- thank u for ur easy n yummy recipe! just wondering.. does palak origin from india or pakistan? because i had palaak in the uk, and that was from a pakistani's restaurant.

  • U r v good cook keep on uploading really gonna try every single recipe thanks

  • Why do my onions become brown and also start burning the base of my cooker, even though there is enough oil? Fantastic and easy recipe though.. thanks!

  • Love this woman she is so funny and a great cook

  • just curious.... can i replace the mutton with prawn- peeled and cleaned? your instructions are simple and practical, thank you.

  • @dodul65 yes you can do that. Do let me know how it comes out.

  • That looks fantastic i so have been looking for this kind of recepie i will definately give yours a go - thanks for sharing lol xx

  • curry powder is just a premixed spice made of chilly powder, tumeric and a few others

  • This is a wounderful recipie. I have been trying all of sheba's recipie and they all come out great.

  • This is a good video, thanks for putting up the effort and sharing your recipe. The only one thing lacking is no mention of time intervals, a couple of instances you just said now it's ready and yogurt is gone, I wonder how much time you gave it for that to happen and whether closed lid or open? with pressure etc etc.. this would help us following your recipe accurately. Thanks.

  • nasty comment angelxfallz, for one you should know what's in the damn curry powder, whatever she puts in IS all ingredients of curry powder, guess you yourself are lazy enough to know that and just buy a ready-made curry powder. Pressure cooker is a good tool when there is meat involved , rather than waiting 8 hours of cooking, it's best to use the pressure cooker or else you'll get the meat like pieces of rubber in your dish.

  • sheeba pl add some karela recipe..thanks

  • My sentiments exactly - You CANNOT make a good curry in a lousy pressure cooker. Its a quick and lazy method that gives a curry that has none of the authentic taste of a properly cooked curry.

  • OMG, you sugested aluminium over steel!!! Use Aluminium with a HIGH risk of developing Alzheimers in later life if not earlier!!! Also using a pressure cooker for doing curries is RUBBISH. It cooks the food quickly BUT NONE of the flavour of a real curry cooked properly is there.

  • I heard that the people who researched that said they didn't have a 100% definite correlation between Aluminum and Alzheimer's.

  • There's a high correlation between high levels of Aluminium in the brain tissue and those who have sufferred and died from alzheimers. Don't believe everything thats published by so called experts.

  • Then I suggest you look at your deodorant then.

  • Already did many many years ago! I do not use any with aluminium ingredients. Do some research into aluminium and various metals that have a toxic effect on the human body.

  • yum yum yum!! can you upload some to me?? can you substitute any other meat? goat is not easily found around my piece of Iowa.......

  • Yes - I often substitute mutton with chicken. Same recipe.

  • I tried it its perfect thanks

  • Hi to All ...How do I get the full recipe's up so I can print them of to save.....can any one help me out there ...PLEASE ..????

  • your recipes are great and better because of the easy way of preparation. Just the kind we regularly do at home.

I have a request.. Please post some vegetable recipes.

    great work!

  • hi sfehmi,

the recipe is too good and easy to prepare, but please can u tell me abt the no of whistles to be kept in pressure cooker, and whether the flame should be maintained in high, medium or low.

    thanku

  • Hi sfehmi !

how are the pressure cookers in the US compared to the ones (hawkins)in india .i have a 2litre pressure cooker thats going to breakdown one of these days ...and i though you would be the best person to ask .with your big pressure cooker collection :))) and what brand would you recommend buying here?

  • The pressure cookers available in US are pretty good. Currently I am not promoting any particular brand. Although a little difficult to maintain but still I would prefer an aluminum pressure cooker to stainless steel. As those are more heavy. Go for known brand name as it is easier to find parts.

  • I would have made this dish days ago but I am still looking for the goat meat.

  • yes it is jarred ginger paste and jarred garlic paste.

  • i m gonna try this

  • i thought it takes long time to cook mutton, n does the spinach have enough water to steam the mutton?

  • It all depends upon the quality of mutton and the water in your area. Hard water always takes longer.

Yes the spinach and tomatoes combined have enough water to cook the mutton in the pressure cooker.

  • is goat fatty meat? could you use chicken?

  • Goat meat is not fatty meat. Also it depends upon the cut. I usually get cubes cut out from the leg piece. This is the least fatty portion.

Yes - you can use chicken. Actually I often cook with chicken. Just time it as chicken does not take that long to cook.

You can certainly reduce the oil -

  • it seems a bit too oily

  • LOOKS YUMMY

  • Yes - add paprika.

Alternatively, you can hold on to the spinach till last - cook everything without spinach and put it at the very end, that way the green color would stay. You may be compromising taste.
