I know LiveVegan will respond, but I can say from having been vegan for about ten years now, I'm quite lean, and I eat a lot of carbs, mostly whole grains. I'm 35, and most of the meat-eating guys I work with who are my age have that potbelly that's gotten so much bad publicity lately, but I don't. A friend of mine went vegetarian a year ago, and he delivers heavy appliances. And look at Mac Danzig. He's vegan.
