  • Alrite So i must admit tuner hondas Are pretty damn nice, beaner or Ricer hondas are crap, this honda even if track only is still pretty impressive for a 700HP FWD Car I may run a Vr4 with 400 horse on basic upgrades but if its built right any car can make it to the 500HP Plus range, Look at Franken probe, or WestpalmGT that also shows Any car can make high numbers, but it just depends on if you Build to last or build to exploide

  • Well I don't know what you base your opinion on hopebot but largest market shares in the world don't come from the cars performance...that's what we talk about here. Concerning degree, once YOU finish bachelors in mechanical engineering, option thermofluids & propulsion, and masters in mechanical engineering. option failure & properties of metals and polymers, then you might understand a little of what you call "science of cars", which you should master.

  • it cracks me up, it really does why do (mainly american) people hate jap car... the ek9 isn't a nice little runabout as standard anyway... it's 1.6 VTEC engine develops 185bhp!!! as an example the 1990 Ford F150 needed a 4.9ltr V8 for the same power! fact! jap can squeeze silly power out of small engines :) they rock :P

  • haha, you guys need atleast 800 lbs of torque just to move because of all that excess weight. that honda doesnt need all that torque because its light. 1500lb honda with 447lbs of torque would smoke a mustang with 500lbs of torque anyday. key factor again is weight.

  • To mustang. Of course Honda's have to turbo to keep up. What do you expect. American cars are usually V8 V10 and so on. How do you expect a 1.6 civic to compete? It's like saying American cars have to add more cyclinders to compete. Japanese cars are better as they do not need ideas such as oh I know I will just add more cylinders to give it more power. What a dumb idea. Honda's vtec is more clever. They dont rely on the dumb OH yeah add more cylinders idea.

  • btw, good job with the 700+hp, now you guys can torque steer into something hard and put that civic outta it's misery.

    civics are meant to get from A to B, because is a inexpensive and economic fuel saver. You guys took that away from the civic, so i have have no respect for you when it comes to tuning (or should i say, spend alot of $$$ on the biggest turbo i can find.)

  • Looks like a drag car. remember, "theres no replacement for displacement" A turbo that big is pretty useless on the 1/4 mile, and needs time to spool up.
