wont complain about the timing , the tones , or even anything for that mater.... as long as ur playing for the love of playing
only thing i would say is that ur lucky to have such a nice mesh-pad kit....which u can play at 2 in the night too...the world oil being pegged to the dollar works in your favour..
am buying a td-9 series v pad..and i'm paying 42 times more..
i will not say about how ne one sucks or is out of time.. i feel your doing a great job..at least ur pleasing ur senses .. and playing some decent time signatures..
only thing
you are lucky to have such a v pad..given the financial constraints..it gets hard to buy even a roland td-9 series .. ur pretty lucky that the oil in the middle east is pegged to the dollar.. cheers bro
you know what you are doing man! you look like you're having fun. sounds really good man! Dude no disrespect in anyway when i say this but watching your vid with all of those out of sync glitches reminded me of the shake hands with beef video from primus. But you looked sure of what you were doing, and very precise by the way. Screw those dislikes man!
sweet kit, lucky, both of those combined including the roland spds, or that's what i think it is, all those pads and hardware must've cost at least $3000, and those rubber pads, right, what's the yamaha kit that u used in the vid?
He bought the Yamahas from another friend for 400 bucks and i dont know how much the TD-9s cost but im guessin a couple grand? Either way, not too bad.
He set it up, him and his buddy, Lance, in about 3 hrs.
the td-9 is about 1500 in most music stores, i was at ken stanton and I saw it on sale at 1400 for a TD9 so I think 1500 is acurate, a few grand is a bit much in my opinion for a electric kit, on account of it's not good for live shows.
One word.

where are the polyrhythms?
DrummerStuffable 5 months ago
@DrummerStuffable
Hey man.
Thanks for the view.
@ 0:15, there's 9/8 kick drum timing Vs. 4/4 HH and snare.
@ 0:31, there's 5/4 (3 times, equalling 15 quarter notes), and a 1/4 measure.
@ 1:18, theres a 7/16 rhythm guitar part and a 3/4 easy tapping part. The drums kick the 7/16 and 4/4 ostenato up!
Sorry, the video slips outa synchopation! :P
