  • I find this piece more satisfying than the La Brosse. This one doesn't seem to resolve, where the La Brosse resolves repeatedly.

Your playing is wonderful on both, which made comparing them very enjoyable.

  • We don't know who wrote the music in Attaingnant publications, only a few pieces are under PB (probably Pierre Blondeau ?) other are probably anonymous from Italian inspiration. And quality is inegal, from elaborate (not so much...) to very simple settings of dances. But fresh music anyway...

  • What can I say? Merci Maestro!

  • Thanks to you ;-)

  • Hallo Val.

Merci. Tres bien, mon ami. I like this little piece because it makes me feel like I am back in the 'good old days'. It's amazing how one can start a computer and 'travel' several hundreds years back in time.:)

    Have a great day!

  • Maybe I'm a "time-machine" ? would have said H. G. Wells.

    Rog.

  • I use to play this piece to warm up with right hand fingering, it´s both a good exercise to wake up and a lovely one ;)

  • Yes it is a nice piece and good exercise too ;-)

    Val

  • Bravo!

  • Merci beaucoup ;-)

  • This one is really pretty, Val :) ... well, even more as your usual playing ;)

  • I'm preparing the uke version ;-)

    Val

    V.

  • Great.

  • These pieces are very charming, do you plan to do more from Attaingnant?

    Trond

  • Yes of course ! I done some before but I have to re do with zoom h2 recording sound...

    Best regards

    Val

    Val

  • Once again, nice. Is there any modern repertoire written for the lute and I don't just mean transcriptions of modern music but music written with the lutes sonorities in mind?

  • Yes there is, for example Roman Turovsky (in Ukrainian style) and Ronn Mc Farlane. I played some Roman's music !
