  • this a terrible channel PERIOD!

  • i don't think shes ever washed a baby befor my god she sucks ! lol

  • HELP! HELP! THIS BITCH IS TRYING TOO DROWN ME!

  • @wonderall100 LMAO!

  • This is horrible. What you should do is first, put your baby in the bath, and cover his/ her belly button with a cloth or a rag so that is does not get touched at all. Then you can start getting them wet. And the rest is pretty much good. But don't just try avoiding the umbilical chord. COVER IT!

  • Is it just me or do mist expertvillage videos suck?

  • @SageSings1226 youre right

  • I think the perfect question is, who in gods name is DOWN enough to get you pregnant....? 0_o

  • Keep the baby in the water all the time. It gets cold.

  • that baby hates you, Vanessa.

  • @bordmetsoep And, who bathes their kid in the living room? I mean, to me that's just silly..

  • LOL! XD She Trying Her Best.

  • WOW YOU REALLY TAUGHT US, LOL SPEAK OF THE OBVIOUS I THINK A 4 YR OLD COULD OF DONE THAT~~

  • I see alot of those hammock/infant head & body support bathtubs now for newborns. I got one for my 2nd daughter, she did not like it. But my 1st daughter when she was a newborn loved to be held as she was bathed, wrapped in a towel method, gave her a secure feeling like being back in the womb.

  • organicsab i have no idea!

  • how come you cant get the belly button wet when its a newborn?

  • @organicsab it's because the part of the umbilical cord thats there will fsll off faster if it stays dry. Hope this helped!

  • she said not toget the belly button wet then she goes and pours water all over it. so, is it ok to get the belly button wet or not? i'm confused =S

  • that's b/c he's not a newborn.

  • it is ok. i asked both the hospital and my doc tht. just try not to

  • i was always told to "wash" newborn babies with a warm wet cloth, not give them a bath, before their umbilical cord falls off. they're not really dirty anyway. just need a quick wipe-down.

  • i can spell some words but some i cant becaues its hard im sitll lerarning how

  • babies cries dont always have to do with the person handling them... some babie jst cry all the time. maybe hes jst a fussy baby and cries a lot... doesnt mean shes doing anything wrong. some of you are jst mean and dumb... try making a video and see if the baby your caring for is being perfect the whole time... it wont happen so lighten up or shut up

  • "try making a video and see if the baby your caring for is being perfect the whole time..."

She could have waited for a better time to make the video when the baby wasn't crying and fussy and fighting. This lady isn't not very astute.

  • thats the thing... Some babies are fussy all the time. Some babies aren't fussy at all. People need to stop being so judgemental and see this video for what it is... a tool to help others. And then maybe you will see that they might have done it when the baby was fussy on purpose to show that babies aren't perfect and so, whenever you want to handle them, they aren't always going to cooperate.

  • obviously you've never been around a real baby

  • @misszombiekitty13 did ur stupid she does hundreds of vids w/ them WOW!

  • @cburglow read what you just put... you're the stupid one. fucking moron. get a life.

  • @misszombiekitty13 k true that didnt make since made scense in my head butit lost somethin when it came outlolz i was just bsaying that u cant say that she obviously never been around a real baby because she made hundreds of vids w\ real babys sooooo yeah lol

  • @cburglow how dumb are you? i never said she hadn't, i was talking to the person who made the comment talking crap. learn how to read before you start bashing someone for your misunderstanding

  • wuy dont you go and watch a real expert of how to bath a baby thiss is not rite il give tips 1have preper every thing next wash your hands allways check the water tempureter thats most in portent next undest your baby and place then in wet them wash them and head and do it propliy rince of and dry him put lotion onand dipper and clothes

  • somebody needs to learn how to spell, reading your ungrateful misspelled comments is torture!

  • because when baby first born either your careful washing them or you just wash them with flanel

  • She should of told us way to keep from wetting the belly button.

  • The baby cries and whines in every video, she's obviously not an expert.

  • this is the worst how to video I've ever seen. I didn't learn crap from it. And shes supposed to be an expert? Is this a joke?

  • I don't think she claimed to be an expert, just an experienced mom. It may not have been helpful for you but it might for someone else.

  • you dont have to be hard on the comments when your doing it because its a lie but its true she doesnt look like she knows what shes doing and it looks like she is not an expert !!!

  • doesn't look like she knows what she's doing...

  • Venessa actually always doing well , just then the baby is some how , always crying , easily . Venessa is like , poor , always being blamed for making the baby cry , I hope she can really improve , I don't mean she's bad , just not gentle enough for her little darling .BTW, please try to give positive comments to her , like what I have mentioned , she is actually doing quite well .

P.S. Her baby is very cute !!!!

  • you're right, but also, new born babies don't need you to be extremely careful with them like people think. unless you havent been around a new born, or an infant of any age you would know that. i have been babysitting my niece plenty, and myself nor the parents don't take EXTREME safety when moving her around, she is a human and their bones are very soft when they are born which makes for a very flexible child. the girl in this video is doing fine with the gentleness that she is using.

  • how are you gonna keep the belly button dry if your pouring water all over it

  • @vampcrazy8

she said "IF you are bathing a newborn", and that baby that she is bathing is OBVIOUSLY not a newborn.

  • @vampcrazy8 try listening to what she was saying. she said if the baby still had the thing on their belly button, then don't get water on it. the baby she was giving a bath to, already had the thing fall off. so she could get his belly button wet.

  • @vampcrazy8 Well, her baby isnt a newborn so obviously she doesnt have to keep that area dry...She was saying IF the baby was a newborn you want to try and keep that area as dry as possible.

  • @vampcrazy8 He's not a newborn, his belly button is healed. You would do a sponge bath for a newborn up to when their cord falls off.

  • @vampcrazy8 I think because the baby isn't a newborn. She did say in the video, if the cord hasn't fallen off, or something along those lines. But I don't blame you for not hearing cos she talks really quietly. :)

  • @vampcrazy8 She puts the water all over the belly button !!

  • @vampcrazy8 Well obviously her baby's cord has already fallen off

  • Ok, she doesn't mention water temperature at all. That's the most important thing you should tell people if they don't know how to bathe a baby. Uggh, expert village fails once again!

  • how come all expert village vids are people that dont know what they are doing!!

lol your bathing lotion otherwise known as soap.

  • that poor girl, she is so nervous, she is probably a first time mom, LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!!!!

  • then she shouldn't be on EXPERT

  • She is the one who show herself as an expert on youtube!

  • not how I would do it at all...poor video!

  • I thought newborns were supposed to get spongebaths until the umbical cord falls off and heals up.

  • i don't like this technique at all. i don't even have a child and i can do better than this chick. lol

  • i gotta learn 2 help my friend ewh

  • I WANT TO KNOW WHY EXPERT VILLAGE HAS NOT TAKEN THESE VIDEOS OFF!!!!!! I have read through most of the post and I have yet to find a good comment. All I can say is WACK JOB! All that little boy wants is for her to just LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guys, I had this tremendous anxiety while preparing being a mom too. My baby was born a month ago and believe me, bathing is not that scary. You do have to avoid the belly button area till it is cured completely - and for that bathe your baby with a water running from the tub. Even eif some drops go there - just wipe them off at once. It is not a big deal

  • and im sure that after saying not to get the belly button wet that rinsing off bit she went and poured it over it

  • Vanessa has REALLY lost her mind!!! I am a new expecting mom and I don't believe she even knows what she is doing.I AGREE with Lovee2singg.This lady is CRAZY!

  • Tbh, i think when a baby is newborn you should lay him/her on a towel and get a wet cloth a just wipe her/him cuz that way they stay clean and dont get cold as much, but when they there cord falls off start bathing them like this, who agrees?

  • God isnt it hard avoiding getting the belly button wet? Im a first time mom expecting, (15 weeks4days) and I'm terrified of doing this all wrong :[

  • ask a nurse they usually tell u what to do if u are a first time mum. Dont be put off by this lady take lovee2singg's advice

  • Umm thats not even washing the baby.. :S.. U can rub on them but with a soft towel but shes right u cant get the bellybutton wet but u dont need to be scared to wash everywhere else. everywhere else is fine.! :) remeber u want to make sure the stub is clean and dry but at the same time keep ur child nice and clean.

  • ugh. im baby sitting my cousin this week, and i gotta bathe her. this didnt help whatsoever,

  • This video was awful. I am expecting my first baby and I already know enough to know this was awful! How about starting with the cleanest part of the baby? Not getting the rest of the body wet until you're ready to wash that area so the baby doesn't get cold? Expert my tush!

  • you know.....i've noticed something....

people don't really need to be taught how to bathe, clean, or change a baby.

they tend to pick these things up as kids when watching their parents, relatives, or family friends do it.....

  • Uh... I had two older brothers. They may have learned in the way you suggested... But I didn't.

These kinds of videos are preeeeetty useful for me. I've babysat, but not baby babies.

  • "bathing lotion, otherwise known as soap" wow......just.....wow

  • @mayaaa12 hahahahaha i was like wtf

  • That's a pretty cool bathtub!

  • what kind of a god damn bath was this????? i hope Vanessa doesn't clean her ASS like she cleans that baby

  • lmfaoo

  • LMFAO that was funny!

  • soooo true

  • great video and sweet baby :)

  • hes real retard

  • Del the funky Homosapien If you Must Rocks while u sucks.

    Its pretty weird sentence (offtopic)

Now u can not do anything .

  • ...otherwise known as soap.." wat an idiot

  • Thank you, Vanessa, you've taught us how to rub soap all over a baby, then pour a little bit of water over the baby, and then end up with a baby who still has soap all over his body. Why didn't they film this in a kitchen or bathroom? Nobody bathes a baby this way!

  • First of all who would bathe their child in the living room??

and is she bathing a child or watering a plant??

  • who cares the wrath of the living room wont harm him

  • Ok firstly I have no idea what your trying to say because its really bad english but if your talking about the fact that the baby has hand marks that because hes wet and the friction does that anyway its not like shes hurting him he doesnt care so give her a break you probably know nothing about children and if you have some please dont teach them english yourself.

  • Oh my gosh! This lady is a bad mother I can tell and i am only 12! She either starves the baby, shoves the binkie into his mouth. Also it sounds like she is going to cry when she talks!

  • why would you reuse the water that you already washed the kid with? thats nasty!!!! babies tend to urinate while bathing too!

  • I don't know who made this girl an expert, but apparently I was an expert at washing babies when I was 5- and still could have done a better job than this. Love to see her accomplish this with another kid running around with that pitcher of water sitting on the floor!

  • lol i know its u canessa

  • how can u not get his/her belly button wet? becuz shes pourin water over his whole body this vid is stupid the baby isnt even clean

    :(

  • thats wat i was thinkin, she confused the hell outta me when she did that

  • it's eaisier to bathe a baby in the kitchen sink that way you wont get the floor wet.

  • canadianngurl is right! The baby isn't clean...

  • I know! did you see how fast she washed her baby?? It does not take a minute. Expesialy that time would be a good time to bond with your baby. Not just pour water over him or her and call her clean.

  • That is not how u bathe ur baby!!! Do u realy think he is clean???She used the same soap from hus body to clean his head and didnt even rinse his head!

  • you guys CHILL 1-its a video. its not like she was really bathing him. yes she did rinse his head. watch the video. -as for the other people she said IF it is a newborn obviously this isnt a newborn. wait and see-when you have kids of your own you'll understand. until then chill the hell out lol

  • still, if you are supposed to be demonstrating "how to bathe your newborn," her demonstration sucked, because she didnt show us how to bathe a newborn. she didnt lather properly or rinse properly. and she spilled water all over the child's belly button. sucked!!!

  • true but she says "if its a newborn do it without getting the bellybutton wet" she's acknowledging that the baby she's demonstrating with ISN'T a newborn baby. listen to her don't just watch it without volume lol and i never said she did everything right but like i said she's explaining it more than showing it.

  • ya tht lady is a idoit lol
