There is already a federal law called the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940 (SSCRA)that makes it illegal for mortgage companies to file foreclosure proceedings against deployed solidiers.
I favor Obama over all the other candidates. None of the others have viewpoints close to mine. Some say that the Democrats are tax and spend crazy. How do think the Repubicans financed all the wars we have now? The budget is deep in the red thanks to Bush's lies along with his asinine and myopic polilcies, both foreign and domestic.
Your solution to the economic problems only address the symptoms of our failing economy. And your solution? More government programs. Never do you address the core economic problem which is an over spending congress with a Federal Reserve Bank that is more then ready to print all the money you need. And after studying your proposals, we'll need a lot!
ALL of the problems you address are the result of existing government policies. Government is the problem, not the solution.
Wake up people, he is really an empty suit.Look at his record in the past,60% of the time he didn't vote, instead, he went to networking to get political gain. For the Record, how many times he betrayed his promise? how many time he used political tactics to attack other candidates? At the same time, he accuse they all have political purpose except him! totally hypocrites!!! by the way,I strongly believe he hire some people to flag the videos on youtube which are against him. shame on you!!!
He states the obvious but he offers no real change or solutions these problems. He never talks about the economy, the federal reserve, the national debt, the trillions of dollars for we are in debt to for healthcare and social security. what about the devaluation of our dollar? he is for the status quo, but i guess hes better than MacCain. Sadly, i cant believe thats our options.
Um..as opposed to John McCain who couldn't even be bothered to show up to vote for or against the bil? Yes.
But I agree with you, I wish Ron Paul was running. The only man with a true plan that could wipe off debt, make us safe and give back our goddamn freedom.
I am supporting Obama. There are something that makes me want to kick him, but I like him overall compared to McCain. However, does this guy have a clear plan to get rid of the national debt? I don't care how many earmarks he rips up. 25 billion every year is never going to cover the several trillions and counting.
i will tell you how Americans are going to pay:with mastercard. just joking. the upper 1 percent(fat cats) will help out with this agenda. our earth survival depends on it !! thanking you in advance
We can put the billions of dollars that we are wasting (like buying electronics and other foreign utilities) and put them into improving technology in our country. You'd be surprised the amount of money the US can generate in a few months.
He knows what the people want but the question is do we know what we want? There is no best choice in either puppet. Watch this video very very carefully. There is no choice here
Is this war free? No way; in fact the war tax has led to the runaway price increases on gas, groceries, you name it. Billions to pay for the war has come out of the same budget that is used to fund health care, education and develop alternate energy sources. Stop the war drain on our economy and redirect the funds to restore peace and prosperity is a plan that will work. With a new vision at the helm, we can do better for ordinary working folks and small business owners. Yes we can. Vote Obama!
Give me at least 3 things that Bush has done for our country besides increasing taxes. We have spent 700 billion dollars on goods from foreign countries! Help us get out of this!
Free Health Care actually saves the country money. The countries with national free health care spend considerably less per capita than we do in the US. The VA healthcare system, which is government provided healthcare, costs 2cents on the dollar in administrative charges. The private system costs over 25cents on the dollar.
Next time you come to Atlanta, if you would like a graduate of McEachern high school, a five year veteran of the Marine Corps, an Iraq veteran, and a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War to speak to your candidate regarding veterans' issues, just send me a message.
I would be very interested in having a conversation with Obama regarding his policies on Iraq and veterans affairs.
I don't care I'm still voting for Ron Paul. He didn't give up just yet there will be a march on July 12th in our nations capital. The biggest one yet. I am voting for Ron Paul independently even if he's not on the list. Obama is in favor for amnesty to all illegal immigrants and wants English to no longer be the offical language. You still think he's best choice???
This is the only "Man" who can Save the terrible shape this country is currently in. Please people.... if you were ever going to vote for anyone... this is your man. He will not only change this country... he will change the world!!
Obviously, you don't keep up with politics. What do you think the man has been doing for the last 17 mos. Campaigning and telling you what he is going to do. Does he need to show up at your door and pull out his calendar? Pay attention. So many people think that watching the local news and getting 30 sec. soundbites qualifies them to understand politicians. The media would have you believe that he hasn't said anything, but he should have lost his voice by now telling folks his plans.
I was right there behind Barack on his left side just out of sight of the camera. This was the first time I had seen him in person, the crowd was electric. It was an honor to shake hands with the next President of the United States of America.
We know very little about what a candidate can or can't do unless we give him a trial run. We don't do that so we can only judge from what we see. McCain may have "experience" but I think Obama has something much more important. He has charisma and the power to inspire us Americans. Let's not forget that one man will never make a marginal difference (even one as powerful as the commander in chief). It's the people. Obama has the power to make us feel good and work hard. THAT is change we need.
Service members can now go to the war front in all patriotic spirit and fame and glory while they come back home in a huge retirement benefits.Obama has much to his credit for this plan.Veterans and men in the uniform will be given much more financial support and care if Obama is the president.YES WE CAN and HE CAN do more better to other struggling families ......GOBAMA 08
If we do not elect Obama in Nov, then we as a nation don't deserve him. He might just be too good for America.
But then, I certainly hope not. I hope the majority of us vote for him and put him in office. He is our only hope at this point, hope for the nation, hope for the planet.
too bad the McCain supporters do not think so. I know the rich want him, why would a person who is in the same shoes as i am want McCain... there are many reasons i wont go into but, thats just the part of foolish america.
I've heard some people complain about Obama raising taxes etc, but something has to change. The economy is in the toilet RIGHT NOW, and we need any change to get it back on the right track. The economy was in the toilet with the last Bush was in office and Clinton had to fix it. Same here. Bush put the economy in the toilet and it's going to take Obama to fix it.
Clinton didn't fix the economy. The Federal Reserve "fixed" the economy by lowering interest rates and pumping money into the market. Unless Obama regulates or eliminates the Fed, (which he never talks about) who do not have the right to create and deflate bubbles (dot come crash, housing bubble) the US economy will continue to suffer.
There is a fine line between saying too much and saying to little. Apparently, walking that line comes naturally to you. I thoroughly enjoyed your speech on the economy. Our economy is what we should be talking about right now. Your words struck a responsive chord within me. I shared your speeches with my friends so that they too might reap the benefits of your knowledge about our economy. I know you will be great for our country. I like the way you get to the point of things.
The key to his speech is what matters most to all Americans, to retire with dignity and respect. He's not saying everyone gets a car and 2 acres of land.. he's saying, where ever you are, what ever your life style, you retire with dignity and respect. A sense and belief that the life you have, is a life you are glad you've had.
People want health, security in one's home, a feeling of accomplishment in one's life and a sense we made a positive difference in each other.
i saw his speech this morning on live stream through the Obama website. I enjoyed every minute of it, especially his proposal for foreign language studies at early childhood.

McCain's reading too - primarily because they aren't letting him be authentic. So you be as authentic as possible to create that sharp contrast. Be yourself! That's what make people fall in love with you in the first place.
I support him but he wants to give each american universal heathcare but most countries with universal healthcare they tax the people more to pay for it.
Great speech! I hope he is not like the last President say one thing before being elected and doing another when you get in the BIG house. Please do what you say we need a honest person to get us out ths messed we are in! Bring home the troops! Lower the gas prices. Let's drill at home use our own land. And not depend on other countries lets do for self!
The high oil prices today may well be a blessing in disguise. Until now US scientists have done next to nothing to make more fuel efficient cars. Going green, and renewable energy have created many new jobs in Europe.
"Done next to nothing"? Where have you been? The only mistake science made was selling the new technology to Big Oil, who have sat on the patents like the FAT COWS they are.
Europe has a dream: this man as the president of the United States and an end to the war in Iraq which means bringing the troops back home. I hope this guy finishes the bad oil deal. I really hope so!
