I never have liked listening to Ian Punnett. I don't like his style, his way with guest or how he handles callers. Replace him with George Knapp. Art will never come back to C2C. It isn't the same show he started 20 years ago. Corporate greed had ruined the shows content. Now they have to kiss the ass of the sponsors. You can tell it is being run by greedy conservative corporate america who like no better than to feed us what they want us to hear.
Punnett is an amazing host and picks the best guests/stories to explore. I'm not a big UFO buff, so it's always refreshing to hear Ian talk guests up on interesting/controversial history, technology, or science.

Ian Punnett was and still is an awful radio personality. John B. Wells is the best employee at Premier Radio in my opinion. I hope John will take the helm when George decides to give up on radio.

i heard Ian say that he will no longer be hosting the Saturday night C2C. a pity. he was the one rational voice in the C2C brand: he would not tolerate the wacky birthers, teabaggers and wacko night people that track the "greys" or "grays" or hunt alien/human clones. Ian usually spoke of real issues in a rational, familiar manner. oh well, the teabaggers can have Saturday, too.

Art Bell moved back to Pahrump, Nevada from the Phillippines, with his family, in July of this year. He's played coy about whether he will return to radio but hinted that he could in some form, but NOT on Coast to Coast. He has an official (yes it's real) facebook page but he's reached his 5k friend limit. However, coastgab dot com has regular updates and contributions and discussions on all these topics. And yes we all want Art back.
@AZRocky Yes, he applied for an "antennae permit". But there have been some reports that, that's not really accurate. That in reality the permit he applied for is to build a primary uplink facility in his yard.
He would only need a primary uplink facility to connect to the Sirius/Xm Radiostat satellites.

Here is the truth, he suffers from tinnitus,(constant ringing of the ears) and it interrupts REM sleep patterns, I have this btw. When you can't enter REM sleep you can't dream when you can't dream your body can't rest, you become incoherent, you say things like window, when in fact you meant dog, and of course you get exhausted. You can be driven insane by this condition. It rings 24/7. For me I need a constant sound to get rid of the ringing, like tv or radio.
Ian is intelligent though at least, despite his unique speech production style, shall we say. I like that at least he is interactive with his guests. Also, he was not drunk, as is claimed on this clip. He was severely sleep deprived and went into some kooky daydream phase. Can't see him hitting the sauce.

Ian claimed it was because of the word Octopus triggering his sleep deprived mind into an epic confusion... but then I watched those other videos of the people you mentioned, and put the two together. Ian Punnett is 10 times better an interviewer than George Noory. Noory is probably the most boring host that C2C has ever had. I always look forward to Ian.
@misfit71 Not only is he boring it seems like he is not prepared for a lot of his shows. But on a show with Art and Whitley Streiber the conversation got a bit out there. Art told Whitley to to be careful of what he says as the network is cracking down on what is being said. Time goes on C2C will never be what it was like with Art again. It was indeed a great time while it lasted. I subscribe to C2C and a lot of times I just do not listen anymore. It has to someone good and George not the host.

Being an expert at taking shots at people you don't know personally, or basing a worldwide broadcast decision on YouTube decisions that cannot critique a show without mindlessly demeaning them is foolishness. I like George Noory. I'll admit, I wish he challenged occasionally, but the atmosphere he fosters, makes people much more comfortable in sharing their deepest and most sincere feelings. Ian isn't my favorite, but he has grown on me over time. Its presumptuous to assume him drunk.

@woodyburkhalter I totally agree. Ian constantly interrupts, except in the case that it is a guest that he agrees with, in which case he will cut off any caller that challenges such a guest. On a more recent show Art Bell did, Ian called up and said strange things too...but I did just read on Yahoo answers, from someone purporting to be Ian's producer, he doesn't drink but in fact has bad tinnitus.
Tinnitus makes sense, cause he can't hear what's going on, and--at least I'll speak for myself here--you'll end up comparing octopus arms to rooms in a house.

@tealmarlin Art Bell would really have great conversations with his guests. He would listen and ask great questions. Every nite i turn on the radio at 10pm and listen for Art to host that nites show, but if he is not there, i turn it off. George is just terrible, and Ian is asleep at the mike. The sunday guy, George, is very good. He is very alert and really gets into it. I wish i knew how to apply for that job!!
@tealmarlin I agree too. C2C is entirely too formulaic under George. Friday night's Open Lines is pretty much exactly the same every time. He does his shout-outs, talks about flying from St. Louis to LA (or vive-versa), then plays that ANNOYING song at the end.
John Wells would also be another good choice to replace Ian.

Here is the truth, he suffers from tinnitus,(constant ringing of the ears) and it interrupts REM sleep patterns, I have this btw. When you can't enter REM sleep you can't dream when you can't dream your body can't rest, you become incoherent, you say things like window, when in fact you meant dog, and of course you get exhausted. You can be driven insane by this condition. It rings 24/7. For me I need a constant sound to get rid of the ringing, like tv or radio.

Ian is a very nice guy but I don't think he should be on radio.....he's very knowledgeable but he stutters, stammers, repeats himself, starts a phrase that he never finishes.... he drives me nuts after 10-15 minutes of listening to him I'm a nervous wreck....I preferred Art Bell.I wish Whitley Streiber would be on more.....he has a better, calm way about him......

Punnett is stabbing cops in the back by refusing to factor in the issue of black-on-white rape, murder, assault, robbery epidemic that's going on in the country.
He sides with Emily Good but doesn't consider that "maybe" sweet Emily, along with the black involved, set the cops up. And from what I heard of the tape, it does sound like the cop was out of line. NEVERTHELESS, where I live blacks are doing the most ungodly things to Caucasians 24/7!

@misfit71 Not only is he boring it seems like he is not prepared for a lot of his shows. But on a show with Art and Whitley Streiber the conversation got a bit out there. Art told Whitley to to be careful of what he says as the network is cracking down on what is being said. Time goes on C2C will never be what it was like with Art again. It was indeed a great time while it lasted. I subscribe to C2C and a lot of times I just do not listen anymore. It has to someone good and George not the host.

Being an expert at taking shots at people you don't know personally, or basing a worldwide broadcast decision on YouTube decisions that cannot critique a show without mindlessly demeaning them is foolishness. I like George Noory. I'll admit, I wish he challenged occasionally, but the atmosphere he fosters, makes people much more comfortable in sharing their deepest and most sincere feelings. Ian isn't my favorite, but he has grown on me over time. Its presumptuous to assume him drunk.

Plus he always never asks the next question and redirects the interview away from what he supposes are touchy subjects. I would prefer the other George who hosts on Sundays late in the month. I love that fact that someone who is actually knowledgeable on a variety of subjects (a typical prerequisite for a job as a talk show host) is seen as being a "know-it-all" and someone who is unable to comment intelligently on nearly anything, has difficulty with basic things such as the English language (a typical prerequisite for a job as a journalist/talk show host), and is utterly devoid of any semblance of charisma or intelligent humor is seen as the preferred option. On a more recent show Art Bell did, Ian called up and said strange things too...but I did just read on Yahoo answers, from someone purporting to be Ian's producer, he doesn't drink but in fact has bad tinnitus.
Tinnitus makes sense, cause he can't hear what's going on, and--at least I'll speak for myself here--you'll end up comparing octopus arms to rooms in a house.

J.C. called in on the early morning of September 11th and he made reference to George Noory being the devil since he has Ian Punnett speaking in tongues. I couldn't help but laugh.
If it hasn't been mentioned yet, Ian's Technical Director went on the record to say "Ian suffers from tinnitus, a condition that causes a ringing in the ear which makes restful sleep nearly impossible. The lack of REM sleep combined with a coffee crash can lead to this kind of behavior."

Don't really care for either George or Ian! Now Art Bell, whether you agreed or disagreed with his beliefs or with his guests he sure knew how to put on a show. @tealmarlin Art Bell would really have great conversations with his guests. He would listen and ask great questions. Every nite i turn on the radio at 10pm and listen for Art to host that nites show, but if he is not there, i turn it off. George is just terrible, and Ian is asleep at the mike. The sunday guy, George, is very good. He is very alert and really gets into it. I wish i knew how to apply for that job!!

@tealmarlin I agree too. C2C is entirely too formulaic under George. Friday night's Open Lines is pretty much exactly the same every time. He does his shout-outs, talks about flying from St. Louis to LA (or vive-versa), then plays that ANNOYING song at the end.
