@DarkReapersGrim I didn't watch the entire review, but the reviewer is wrong. In any case if you want a portable version of Chrono Trigger without downloading the rom and running it on a piracy console like a320 or Open Pandora, the DS version sells for $20 new.

A couple of things, first this review was done almost 3 years ago, so i'm sure the price has dropped quite a bit, second, you can also now download chrono trigger on virtual console for $8 so if you wanna play on a bigger screen you can! and finally, it does deserve a 10/10 it may not look like much in this review...but damn its amazing =)

Radiant Historia is a game from this generation, play it, it will change your mind about that

I recommend playing the SNES rendition (it's only $8 on VC). CT is just one of those games that is best enjoyed on a TV screen, and without all of the insignificant extras and unnecessary changes (that aren't necessarily improvements).

@k0nr I don't know, I quite enjoy all the additions that were made for the DS version. I played the SNES version growing up, and I love taking it along with me, seeing the sweet cutscenes, having added content, and customizing my menus. But either way, this game deserves to be experienced.

@twistedtick I think you'd like it. Since Nintendo don't have any commitment to release the series outside of Japan anymore, they seem to turn a blind eye to people playing the game through emulation. So, you could try that.

@raiderify The Worlds Ends With You is this JRPG for nintendo DS, and made by the same people that creatored the kingdom hearts games but unlike kingdom hearts The World Ends with You is actually a good game with an excellent story, and multi-tasking battle system, loads of depth for learning attacks and they evolve as you them in different ways, its also one of the only games that you can lower your original level to increase your chances of getting better items after battle

I didn't care for Chrono Trigger at all really, the only thing I liked about it was how the enemies would show up in certain parts of each section of an area in a dungeon, and the techs, double techs, and triple techs combining 2 or 3 characters together to do cool attacks, but that's it really everything else never story did nothing for me meh

i am someone who just now played through this game for the first time(i never even knew about until the ds one came out) and i personally would rate this game a 9.5

the only thing that keeps it from a 10 in my eyes is that a couple of the endings are lame(not all just a couple)

the only thing I didn't like was that the max MP was 99 so you'd run out of MP so fast cause all the TECHs cost burn through MP in like 3 or 4 turns and its annoying to keep using ether every other turn, if they had like 999 for max MP it would be better and so limited, you can't do much damage without whoring TECHs,

@Monosuke Thanks, but I finally found two copies used at gamestop on Thursday for 20$ each, she gave me the mint one and i'm loving this game on the go. The only thing is the item names are changed, and the music is a tin bit different than the snes one.

@Monosuke I would say its in mint, other than the gay gamestop sticker in the top right corner, and the back on the bottom right corner of the fucking game lol. I tried at all four corners on the front one, but there was residue, and that white stuff that sometimes doesn't peel off with the sticker if the stickers to strong and sticky was still on, I said screw it, i'd rather have a gs sticker than a bunch of white crap and stickiness.
