  • was Nascar in town that weeekend u did the recording? lot more campers then usual

  • @redsoxguy617 No it wasn't but good idea there.

  • Thumbs up, JIM! I'm using this song in one of my Chillicothe videos, and I'm wondering where you got this song from, since I can't find it on iTunes. :(

  • @FreewayAndrew -I had the CD "Abraxas Pool" It's a group made up of former members of Journey & Santana.

  • @Freewayjim I looked on wikipedia, and found out Abraxas Pool is an album. Also, where do you get the cd from?

  • great video, gorgeous groovalicious music. you rock fwj, really! thanks - peace ;.)

  • Much appreciated, especially coming from you, thanks :)

  • your about to envy me more, i just did this route at night! muhahaha, now i was wondering if u could give me some non-copyrighted songs for night travel? the vid is 9:59 lol

  • Good songs that long are hard to come by :)

  • i agree, audioswap only had like 5 lol, i always use audio swap seeing my daytime version of this got blocked in some countries, but the song i chose is pretty decent, not the best but good

  • Between VT, NH and NY, you have captured roads that have profound memories for me. I grew up in VT. In 1987, I met the girl of my dreams. At 5:11, you pass her house on the right going through Lisbon. In 1989, we left the area for Syracuse, but would visit often, driving down that very route. My lover died in 2008. But having found your videos, I can still drive those roads from my deskand fall in love with a beautiful girl in a beautiful state all over again. Thank you.

  • You are welcome, thanks for the note.

  • there are roads that just like these in upstate ny......very nice.

  • Ahhhh- life.

  • I have checked out your other work too and man you are good!! Good music and driving vibe. Keep rolling! (no pun intended)

  • Thank you very much!

  • Are those little yellow signs in the middle of the intersections school zone signs?

  • No, those are for people in the cross walk, who have the right of way.

  • Great choice of music

  • There aint no public trans in either NH or Vermont?

  • Beautiful drive, never been to this part of the country, I like in California and the closest I've been is probably Boston. I'd love to visit both NH and VT someday.

  • * "live" in California, not "like"

  • One of the few songs I've heard that starts off quiet and builds up in intensity in its 8 minutes!

  • Hey there Freeway Jim! Found your highway videos to be very interesting as a person interested in geography.

Please, don't hesitate to come out to the west coast and do a video on I-5 or US 101 ;)

  • Thanks, I've never been out west, that's something I hope to do one day.

  • 2:04 - I'm assuming that Applebee's sign is visible from I-93, hence it being supersized

  • Yes, that would be correct.

  • right

  • A very clear image,Good resolution of image,Have you changed digital chamber? always good video jim

  • Nope, it's the same stuff I've been using for two years, thanks!

  • i enjoyed your videos.

    it is amazing to watch

  • I just loved this rural tour :)

what are those yellow things in the middle of the road in some towns?

  • Thanks!

I think you are referring to the Crosswalk Warnings, they are all over the place up there.

  • Are you gonna use Garage Band for any upcoming remixed videos of ones youtube took down? I've always thought it'd be great if you did at least a few more videos in the future with Garage Band music, since I thought you did a great job with that program in your Georgia 400 video.

Watching your videos continually make me wish I one day can afford purchasing the proper video equipment, so that I can make driving videos of my own!

  • Yes, I do hope to do more with Garage Band, I just got the new iLife '09 and Garage Band has been updated so there are more toys to play with. It's just a matter of making the time for it, making a song is more time consuming than making a video I'm afraid.

  • I just got the new iLife too, I'm really loving the face recognition and GPS features within the new iPhoto.

Quicktime could do with an upgrade in my opinion too - it's been some time since that has had major tweaks

  • Yes, the new iPhoto is excellent and it's nice that Apple made iMovie useable again.

  • I gave up using iMovie and reverted back to the former version - that last one was woeful. To Apple's credit, they seem to listen to their feedback, and I'd imagine there was quite allot of us who couldn't believe the step back from the last 'upgrade'

this video upload btw, is one of your best

  • Thanks!

iMovie is worth your time again (iLife '09) it's got a cool stabilization feature (I wish FCE4 had it) along with many others, I think Apple got the message on iMovie '08, yuck!

  • always nice to see your videos.. youtube turned off my sound to on some. i tried to reedit from a WMV or whatever file but i cant extract the sound.

  • Are u looking to do a small town series? U should stop through one of mine if u want. Portsmouth, OH. Otherwise I'll make a video myself.

  • Not so much, I just shot these New Hampshire towns because I've spent alot of time in them over the years and it's my home state.

  • Once again Jim; nice work and well done! :o)

  • New Hampshire is a very beautiful state...Illinois is only beautiful if you like endless miles of cornfield.

  • Hmm, wouldn't say ALL of Illinois is flat. The northwest corner of the state is scenic(i.e. Galena), along with the forested southern part of the state(i.e. Shawnee National Forest, and anything south of Illinois Hwy 13).

Won't disagree with you that much of the state is flat farmland, thanks to glaciers that thousands of years ago covered over Illinois and other midwestern states!

  • if you can get a rental you should try the H-3 on O'ahu. It is awesome.

  • Definitely among your finest, Jim. I'll favorite it!

Gosh, I can't get over how beautiful those two states are. It's a shame New Hampshirites are not especially famous for welcoming newcomers.

  • Thank you!

They just aren't used to welcoming newcomers in NH unless it's people from Mass looking for affordable housing :)

  • Nice video again btw man. I am a proud subscriber.

  • Thank you!

  • Hey Jim remember that I-84 vid you did through hartford from I believe Farmington to Manchester did they take that one too. I liked that one good music too. I actually made a Video of I-95 in my area you gave me the idea to do one but I have a question I cant seem to edit it with windows movie maker and its way too long for youtube what editing software do you use and how do you speed it up so its 5 or under ten minutes.

  • Yeah they did take that down :( I'll remix it with a different song eventually.

I use Final Cut Express 4 on a Mac, Windows Movie Maker is very limited. If you want a really good program that's reasonably priced check out Adobe Premier Elements.

  • -2 windchill is brisk lol
