I would like you to read peony in love-Lisa see ... I read it and had a love hate review of it. I'd love to know what you thought because we seem to have similar taste
Thanx for all the great book picks :) I have a couple of really good recommendations : Summer Sisters by Judy Blume, Where The Heart Is (sorry I forgot the author), and The Lovley Bones (I forgot the author on this one too, sorry). You should def check them out, they are great!!!
Looking forward to reading it. Do you know if they have it at Target? I am probably going to return something there today. Otherwise, I can check out my local bookstore or Barnes and Noble.
I have written several books down, especially the doggie one!!! Thank you for sharing all of the books with us and hope there's more to come!!! Love your nail polish color, what is it? Take care Jen and thank you!!! xoxo,Tara
yes books are so much better than a movie and movies can't have all the detailing as the book cuz they are only allowed a certain amount of hours to make a movie. I agree ur own imagination of a book is so much more magical and better than any other way.
Hi Jen, thanks so much for this and the other video! I already got The Mermaid Chair and am loving it so far!!! This was a great video idea.....there are so many books out there sometimes it is hard to choose one. I hope you do more suggestions as you read more............I can't wait to read so many of the ones you talked about!
Jen, could you possibly tell more about your own impressions on the books you've read. The description on the back sounds too ... whatever, but when you talk about how much you liked it and why, that's much more interesting! Thank you!
Hey there! I'm really loving these book review videos! :) Please do keep them coming as I would love to get more ideas on what books I can start reading. Take care :)
Thanks for your advice! I will read the book first. I agree with you, I think the books are usually better than the movie. They go into a lot more depth.
Jen I am loving these videos!! I wanted to tell you that Jodi Picoult is my favorite author....I really loved her book "Plain Truth"... amazing!! I recommend it to you!! Thanks again for the recommendations!! xoxo Sara
I love to read too, Jen, and have so enjoyed your book club vids. Thanks for such great ideas. I have copied & pasted your book suggestions so I can print them out & take to the book store this weekend. I have a B. Dalton's in my mall and I love that store. I tried to start a book club in my area years ago, but it slowly faded away as I couldn't find enough people interested. Most of my friends enjoyed the food and beverages more than the book discussion, lol! xoxo :) Carla
@goode2shuz1 Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you are enjoying these videos - they are fun to make!! haha yeah, we always look forward to the food too!!
This is a great variety of books! Is it better to watch my Sister's Keeper the movie first or read the book first? I get pretty emotional over stories like that to, but I still like to watch movies and read books like that. I like light hearted books, but I also like deep books that make you think. Thanks for the list! I will definitely pick up some of these books!
Great video, Jen! I love to read so this gives me new ideas. Somehow I missed the first one though so I'll go back and check out your selections. xoxo
Thank you so much for doing these videos. I absolutely love them. They are so entertaining to watch. I am going to pick up a few of these books and get started!! =)
@misskristin216 I'm wearing white snowflake on the base of my eye from Blue Line COsmetics and I'm wearing a purple eyeshadow (I think from Mac in the crease.
I just bought Shanghai Girls by Lisa See at the Goodwill. GD is great place to find used books for a great price. I haven't read Snow Flower and The Secret Fan yet although it's definately on my list.
i really like videos like this! i loveee to read so I'm always looking for new books to read! thanks for all the recommendations! you're also very beautiful =)
I loved my sisters keeper. I also cried my eyes out.... no fun when your reading it on public transport but hey at least nobody set beside me :p P.S. I love you by Cecelia Ahern is another great read. It'll have you crying your eyes out one min and rolling about laughing the next!
I love that you're doing a series of videos on your book club picks! You're like a mini Oprah!...well, sort of. ;o) Anyhow, love the vids and fantastic faves. BTW, I was bawling like a blubbering fool at the end of the movie, My Sister's Keeper. Of course, I've been known to blubber at Hallmark commercials. :P Love ya'! xo
I had to favorite this video so that I can come back to it for the great reading recommendations. Thanks Jen!! The only one I've read on this list is My Sisters Keeper. I read it 6 years after my son was diagnosed with leukemia. Needless to say, it was an extremely emotional read for me too. Yet one of the best books I've ever read.
@scrumps101 Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you are enjoying these videos - they are fun to make!! Oh wow, give your son a big hug from me...take care!
I think I might want to read Whispers at Midnight. I know My sister's Keeper is probably a good movie and I've been wanting to see it but I will be just like you...crying my eyeballs out. So, I try to stay away from those movies.
MY SISTERS KEEPER TORE ME UP!! I was crying and just heartbroken for the whole book. I have been an avid reader for years and it was nothing like anything I have ever read! I have to say I now know I do not like sad books and would never read one like that again because I an entirely too sensitive!! :) I agree the books are always better then the movies except for The Lovely Bones. Hated the book but really liked the movie. Weird because that is the one and only time I have experienced that!
Just ran across a site called Gurugossip that bashes and raves about Ytube gurus.... It has eight long pages bashing LisaLisaD1 for an example. Had no idea there were discussion threads like that!
Totally love this. I have most of Jodi Picoult's books and really like her as an author. Lisa See is another favorite. Excellent choices. Have them all except Karen Robards. Books always are so much richer and fuller than movies for obvious reasons so if I watch the movie I make sure I have read the book first. Hugs to you and Petee.
Hi Jen, Love these videos, gives me great ideas of what audio books that i can listen to. Love the top u have on. Such a pretty color. Hope u are have a great week. :D
I agree with "orlakelly101"..I have heard such great reviews on My sisters keeper...I am going to pick that one up for sure. But placed an order yesterday with Amazon for 2 books you suggested! I truly love this series Jen. Thanks for being different, but always so gorgeous!!!
