@iluvjesus00 Oki yeah that would be really good for him then, asking him to slow back and do simple changes instead of him wanting to charge forward with flying changes- though that's pretty cool! haha :)
@iluvjesus00 softer with your signal perhaps and staying as relaxed as you can while being firm. Well I hope that makes sense and helps you! I'm sorry if it doesn't! tell me if you've already tried everything or if it doesn't work and I'll try to think of more things to help him, haha I'm not a professional trainer but I have been asked for help on Youtube a lot and it's worked so I hope I can help you out!!! :) also does he jig at the walk any? jw
@iluvjesus00 work on collected gaits till he is more fine-tuned to them if he isn't already then you can work to ask him to go from a walk to a collected canter and therefore that would not allow him to leap into it and instead stay collected and together. Also what signal do you give him? I know that with my boy Stevie I use voice first and then light but strong with my outside leg- if I try to push him or signal to hard he would leap or buck into the canter at first so I would just get
@iluvjesus00 slow to a halt in the middle and then walk to canter and resume- basically try to move him around a lot and get him thinking- don't make it rushing at all though you don't want to get him anxious, just try to relax and make him think your just mozying along if that makes since- sometimes it also helps if you are very relaxed at the walk then giving him whatever cue and after he pick up immediately giving him a light half-halt but keep him moving. Another option to try is to really
@iluvjesus00 so you let like two or so trot steps in-between- then you just keep going around and changing but then switch it up and just circle- make him be really in-tune and listening to your cues- if he keeps trying to rush and jump into it make your circles smaller- now do the same with more simple- changes but this time bringing him to a walk and try the same thing switching it up if you can and if you have room turn the figure 8 into a serpentine, if he improves you could then ask him to
@iluvjesus00 Thank You so much! ugh man I've been there! With Sparky and Stevie both! with them it's mainly they anticipate the canter signal and try to leap or bolt into it. Does he bolt cause he gets excited or does he sort of leap/buck into it? Well either way I'm not gonna lie if he's had that in-ground into him for 7 years that will be a hard habit to break! Here's some things I would suggest if you haven't tried them already- Figure Eights!! basically you just work on the simple change..
@Love2RideArabs Well cause with field polo, they gallop a loooong ways away, and eventually come back, but with arena polo, the action is always there! It's so exciting!! No injuries, yet... (you never know).
Looks like you had a blast with editing again. Great clips it made for a fun little video. And some of the other horses and costumes were wonderfull. Shame youre moving accounts though. Ive subbed to the other one already still it does suck.
@hannahpac Its sad still better that you can move over to another one now then see this one getting deleted so will you still use this one at all or not.
Looks like you guys had another awesome time you all look great!!!! Congrats on all your winnings!!!!!! Was your trainer showing Sparky? He looked great. I love the polo stuff really cool! Was he showing Stevie too? He looked great with him! Of course you look awesome with him too! Your barn is so awesome I wish I was with your guys barn!!! You guys always seem to have an awesome time!
Im jealous too! My barn usually goes to Region 14 but not this year. I wish we wouldn've gone because i would've gone too! To work though, not to ride(: Our main Region is Region 13. We were beast then! I hope I can go to youth nationals and see your awesomeness in real life! lol. ((:

@iluvjesus00 oh wow! He sounds like one of those horses who is "too-smart" lol those are the tricky ones!
If only he could memorize going off easy for the canter...
But anyway yeah I guess try to switch it up as often as you can so he doesn't go to auto-mode
-Hope it helps!!! No problem :) Thank You!! :)
