  • Im glad the singers agree "DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB"

  • I love this film, especially those futile conversations in the Diner (Did Tarantino learn from this for his Pulp fiction conversations?)

We (men) have all been there as young men.

  • "Diner" is going to be re-created on Broadway in the next few months. Levinson is involved. Not sure how I feel about this (is it just a money grab?) but it sure beats most other dreck these days!

  • @algielongworth Hey, at least they're not remaking the movie.

  • I just want to let everyone know.....THIS MOVIE IS FAR BETTER THAN THE TRAILER! One of my favorites.

  • @dblakeney11 respect your opinion, but you think the trailer is that bad?

  • Mickey Rourke *_*

  • God I love Mickey Rourke.

  • Great young cast all heaing for bigger and better things.

  • One of my top 10 favorite movies of all times!!!! Two thumbs ups!!!! ^_^

  • Someone knows how can i bought it in Italy???

  • My favorite Christmas movie.

  • my grandfather is an extra in here

  • Mickey Rourke was THE MAN with that surprise in the popcorn bucket scene!

  • Kevin Bacon later worked with Barry Levinson in Sleepers.

  • At 1:50 ... surprise in the Popcorn Box!!

  • LMAO!! When the gal in the theatre reaches into the popcorn box and finds: a dick! Lol!

  • I watched this movie last night, its a great film.

  • I'm really fond of the scene in the club with the broke-down-n'-busted stripper. Gutenberg's non-dancin' dancin' kills me. Also, the closing scene with the guys all sitting at the table ending in a photograph is strong. I have watched that entire movie just for that set-up at the end. Who doesn't have a, 'Where Are They Now' pic of 'ain't seen 'em in years' folks in their past?

  • @ssm3141 True and a few years ago myself and some of the guys I grew up with started meeting for dinner once a year and it's always a great time. We were kids together back in the 1950s and 60's growing up on Long Island. Now we're all in our early sixties and all the memories come flooding back. Oddly enough, what brought us back together was an internet post about an old friend who died in Vietnam. He brought us all together again. It's never too late to hook up with old friends.

  • @JackKangaroo1 What an incredible idea come to life. I'm touched at the mere thought of this taking place between friends, and it all started over a post involving one of you lost in Vietnam. Think of the life lived between you all; what you've seen. The life the lost friend would have had. If ever a book was worth writing, this one would get my vote. Thank you for sharing this. I won't forget it.

  • @ssm3141 Thank you. Our friend's name was John Petrillo. He was killed on Feb. 6, 1968 during the infamous Tet Offensive in Vietnam exactly 4 months after his 19th birthday. In an eerie bit of coincidence the random 4-digit number on his headstone at Long Island National Cemetery is 2668, which mirrors the day of his death---2/6/68. I visit the grave 2 or 3 times each year. I recall a deep conversation we once had at age 16 about plans for the future. Didn't know he had just 3 years left.

  • @JackKangaroo1 John Petrillo. I will put him in my thoughts and prayers today. I had a close cousin who died in 1992, the year I moved back to the states from England. Something kept telling me to come home, and so I did and ended up spending a great deal of that last year with her. One morning, she was killed in a freak car accident. I cannot believe it's been almost twenty years. She was the very first baby I'd ever seen. Well, I didn't promise not to cry, did I?

  • The "I'll hit you so hard" line got a really big laugh in the theatre where I saw it a long time ago. Breaking Away, The Stuntman, and Diner were three of my fav movies from around 1980.

  • @alexlogic omg man everytime i hear that line i fuckin blast out laughing. it's just such a ridiculous line lmao. i love this movie.

  • Really great movie with great actors that display real friendship among men!

  • Great Movie!!

  • haha awesome movie.

too bad no one uses "death" to describe hot girls nowadays. really, its a cool expression. :D

  • Was it death or "def", I wonder? What stands out to me about this movie is the guy who collected records and his collection was more important than anything - or anyone (even his wife)...

  • @anniexanonymous

we should start that trend again.

    all in favor say i.

    ( i ! )

  • @KalmiaC what does the death thing mean?

  • @anniexanonymous what does she is death mean. hope you still use this account..

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!! The ensemble cast is terrific but Mickey Rourke breaks out of the pack. And of course everyone associated with the movie is only one degree of separation from Kevin Bacon.

  • mickey used to be sooo cute!!

    WTF HAPPENED

  • Mickey Rourke aged 25-years, thats what happened.

  • aged 25-years, badly

  • To each his own. To me, he was sexier in The Wrestler than he was in this movie (or even that one with Kim Basinger - whose name has escaped me at the moment)... (LOL) - really!

  • @aviationAD3 umm no, he has had way to much plastic surgery, 25 years does not do that to your face, look at his nose, lips, hairline etc.

  • He's still handsome. He's just gotten older, plus needed reconstructive surgery on his face after a tumultuous boxing career.

  • One of my favorite movies and one with the best roles for Mickey Rourke.
