i wanted to open the hood to check all the fluid levels and the hood wouldnt pop. whenmy hood was closed it didnt look straight. it looked like it was a little tilted on one side. anyways i pulled a little too hard on The plastic latch inside the car to pop the hood, and it broke off, but I was still able to pull the cable with pliers. is there any way i can replace the plastic latch inside the car? the one with the car hood drawing on it. is it an easy fix? thanksits on a 98 civic

there was no need to extend the cable. i actually ended up with more slack than with what i started with. they key is to figure out how your goin to reroute with the shortest possible distance possible
