  • did you guys save the tires off that C20 or something? I noticed drew undoing the lug nuts in the video.

That was crazy it had no oil and ran that long haha,

  • @91CTD

I think drew saved them. He must have done something with them though, they aren't around anymore.

It was barely running, i think that helped. It didn't seize up at the end or anything, Just stalled because its a piece of shit :)

  • i hope the gas dosetnt get stuck at 7 grand

  • @MrJeepin88

Sorry man, this isn't a lexus SUV with a defective floor mat :)

  • Idles just like my 4WD 83 tercel lol. Almost exactly.

  • that aint the 4x4?

  • @theycallmerebel

Which one? the tercel or the chevy? Neither are 4x4 though. i did have a 4x4 tercel with an engine we stupidly blew up with no oil or coolant... :( And drew did have a white K10 here. this is a C20 though

  • @tommartyn i was talking about the tercel. those things are ba. real tough cars.

  • @theycallmerebel

yeah man, i hope to have more some day. 4x4's too. I'm still so mad at my self that i never got to try the one i had off road or anything. :( But glad i got to test the 2x4 version out alot. have you seen the videos we have of that beast? it was intense.

  • where about in pennsylvania are you?.......i notice the two inspection stickers........i'm up near pottsville......i used to live near pottstown

  • well ya seem like the same l happy fellow i seen you in your vids... i got a vid on my international cadet tractor i will send to you:)

  • well im glad to here that, i guess its still gonna be kool cause you still have the dart and the awsome willys =)

  • @bigbam2wwf

Yeah! and the place is going to be cleaned up, so its going to be awesome riding snowmobiles this winter! :)

  • now i see y, im very sorry...please dont tell me all the tractors to =(

  • @bigbam2wwf

Thanks. yeah, its pretty sad. but i am glad to be cleaning up the field. it was a crazy mess out there, and nothing was going to motivate me to clean it up, except something like this.

I can keep most of the tractors, but i have to consolidate everything together, and tarp or build a structure to keep them in. i have 6 months to get that done.

  • Nope. 2-wheel drive.

  • part 2 ?

  • @juankeny88

Where is part 2? There isn't one, I didn't want to blow it up. Too attatched to it. Just took it to the scrap yard and set it free

  • i see fire in the carb

  • ohhh, im gonna miss this car! Gotta love the Tercels, they aren't easy to break down! :)

  • @ToyotaBear96

True True. That are some excellent machines!

  • That is a tough toyota. I have a new found respect for toyota after watching this video.

  • @pontiacpanic79

:) yeah man, they were impressive machines. Everything about this car, except they way it looked was amazing. so great to drive on the road. Way more fun then a vw for some reason. felt more comfortable.

  • I had a 1.3 in a tercel. It was the smallest motor they made for them back in 90 something. I t was a rust bucket but it never got stuck in the snow. It didnt have enough power to spin. lol Finally burned out the 2 and 3 exhaust valves. Snapped in a couple of valves, put a lightweight snow plow on it and plowed my drive for 5 years until i took the center out of the clutch in deep snow!

  • @ThePaulgregg

haha, thats some awesome stuff right there. it wasn't 4 wd right?

  • you should put a front wheel drive, manual car up on blocks, drive it through all the gears, then when your in the top, go into first, and gas the shit outta it and see what happens

  • @curtismundy

thats pretty much what we do in this video, though its not driving the tires :)

  • cant kill them toyotas there

  • @thefattim426

    :) un killable :)

  • mileage rolls everytime he hit the gas lol, vss?

  • @jp198780

haha, yep :) Pretty cool stuff. whats vss?

  • @tommartyn vehicle speed sensor, i had a car that did that, and sold it for that reason, was talking to someone one day about miles on his car, and i just came out and said mine would roll up and shit, and the speedo would go all over, and he told me it was the vss haha, dont know if that was true though, if it was i wouldnt kept the fucker

  • @jp198780

ahh, yeah, that makes sense. probably was. with the tercel here, its because the one axle is popped out of the trans, and laying on the ground. so where the axle goes in is actually spinning as fast as the speddo says. we were shifting through all the gears and all :)

  • gotta love Toyota's! :) This is for all the Toyota haters out there! :) Those engines go forever! :)

  • @terceldude

:) For sure man! It sucks, but there really are alot of toyota haters out there. people that just don't get how amazing these things are. People who are all american and nothing else. They're so close minded they miss out on some really good things.

This is probably the same engine as your tercel, the 1.6L 4A. this came with a 1.5 3A-C, but someone put a 1.6 in it. I think my wagon had a 1.6L in it, so i'm guessing all the 4wd wagons did. I cold be wrong though.

  • @tommartyn lol, very true what you said, however the wagons came with the 1.5L 3AC and some had 1.6L's like yours thrown in it by owners who wanted more power! :) Mine still has the 3AC, lol! :D ;)

  • @terceldude

Ah, gotcha :) its pretty cool that they all had the same engines though. I got to drive the wagon down the junk yards long driveway right after i bought it, and it seemed to have plenty of power. I wish we'd checked the coolant, and oil. it was empty of both :(

  • @tommartyn yeah man definitely! ;) If I was there, I would have revived that wagon of those two fluids and it would have started right up! :)

  • I hear it Fucking moving, that is awesome. Made my day, we all have had shit like that haha

  • @MrDodgeman1985

haha, yeah man. that was so cool. if i had't gone up the pile a little, it might have stayed siezed up for a little longer, and i could have driven it around more.

But it was still cool. first time i've had a car honestly drive with only one wheel. :)

  • hows it been im the guy with the cub cadet tractor havent talked in a while

  • @bigbam2wwf

its going pretty good, i had to get rid of all the cars around here, but other then that its going well, hows it going for you?

  • @tommartyn thats sad to hear, couple tractors of mine broke down so i had to get rid of them, y did you have to get rid of those cars

  • @bigbam2wwf

why'd i have to get rid of all the cars? :) check out the videos of getting rid of all the cars, and cleaning up the field, and read the video descriptions. Its a long story

  • @ Tommartyn

7500 rpms OH FUCK i can't believe it but it's true , it takes rpms as a bike ( my 125 cc bike takes those rpms ) . There is no revs limiter, that's certainly why it takes the rpms . The old Toyota's engine were tough ..... and the new ones.... it's to see :)

  • @grosteph58

:) Its fucking crazy isn't it steve? haha, thats awesome. Youre bike was probably more ok with the RPM's then the 1.6L. :) But yeah, it likes it. Rev limiters normally do anything when the car is in gear. I hope the new ones can hold there own, i really do. toyota is one of those amazing companys.

  • @tommartyn My bike is a four stroke engine too but smaller :) I don't totally agree with ya about the revs limiters operation ,it depends on the design of the car , in some cars when you floor it with no gear engaged, the revs limiter reacts ( you can see the engine shake)and hear the famous noise .

If the ignition system is still with points ( not electronic) there is no revs limiter , i have a car like that , i floored it on the third gear, i reached more of 65 mph with an 1.1L engine .

  • the "pcv" valve is why is spweing oil everywhere

  • @atractorkid7

That might be WHERE its spewing oil from, but i'm going with drew's idea on this one, its pumping the oil so fast to the rocker area, under the camshaft cover (valve cover to americans) so fast, that it can't drain down as fast as its pumping it up. and after a while it fills up, and sprays out of there. Because it doesn't happen till you hold it floored for a long time, so its filling something up, and thats got to be what it is.

  • the "pcv" valve is whay its spewing oil everywhere

  • Great video tough little Toyota engine!!

  • @phill903

    Thanks! Tough for sure :)

  • Man this was a sweet video. Goes to show, can't beat a Toyota build engine, theyre bulletproof.

  • @CSAKvids

Yeah man! they are crazy well made. I didn't know it would put up with all of that though. especially after all we've put this thing through :) amazing car :)

  • This video made my day! Ahhh too cool. I haven't seen anything that hilarious in a while. THANKS TOM! You made me laugh almost as hard as the dart swinger. lol

  • @valleyfever

:) Thanks man! That dart video really is one of the best vids we have. I should try to make some more like that.

  • 7:23 no power or lack of traction?

  • @Begbucks

no traction, got to the top of the ramps with momentum, then he had to hit the brakes to keep from rolling back. So i had to run up and push it to make it go :)

  • @tommartyn Ahh got it
