OK, since Mystic CT is not far from me, I'm wondering what the 'hamburger all over the highway' report is about? All of the other 'scenes' on this LP are either historical...everyone knows about them, or stuff we're all used to seeing, such as the evangelical programs.

While I'm typing this, I keep hearing some weird sounds, and can't figure out where they're coming from. Then, I realized that it's the kazoo from this LP, which is coming from headphones plugged in to my laptop. Go figure..lol!

The Mystic massacre took place on May 26, 1637, during the Pequot War, when English settlers under Captain John Mason, and Narragansett and Mohegan allies set fire to a fortified Pequot village near the Mystic River. Imagine that! If one travels a short distance to the Windsor Historical District, there is a statue of, none other than Capt. John Mason, standing robust, sabre at his side.

By some ungodly act, Windsor inherited the statue from another town (maybe Mystic?) under much controversy.

I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would display such a statue.

The comment you're responding to was referring to a time about 40 years ago.

The Columbian Gold was not to be confused with the Columbian Red, or the Panamanian, or the Thai sticks, or the Temple Balls, or .....

From what I hear, they don't make 'em like they used to! lol
