  • What do they do with the extra skin!

  • hey Doctor.. , i have really small nose like 1 inch and with uneven nostrils .. does it possible to make it look good with just adjusting the nostrils ?.

  • @boyeks Hello,

It would really depend on your individual circumstances. Your nose would be changed to best suit your own facial features, while obtaining a natural result. Thank you for the message, and please feel free to contact my office any time.

  • @drpaulnassif no .. i just want my nostrils to be even and alined , thanks anyway Doc.

  • I have a question and I really value your opinion b/c you did a great job in this nostril reduction video. I had rhinoplasty about 2 years ago and everything turned out great except my nostrils. They have visible bumps on both sides! They look like acne bumps. Also one nostril is smaller b/c he pulled it in too tight. I really would like a revision surgery on my nostrils. Do you think it could look alot better with the right surgeon. I am african american, so getting cut again does bother me.

  • @LuvConquersAll1 Hello,

I would really need to perform an examination to provide you with the best advice. Please feel free to contact my office any time. Thank you for the message.

  • This video is amazing. I am looking for a doctor who can perform alar base reduction. I understand that you cannot determine the actual cost of performing this surgery, but would you be able to provide me with the range of cost for this service?

  • @lawforever Alar base reduction alone costs around $6500. Thank you for the message, and please feel free to contact my office any time.

  • how much does an alar base reduction only cost?

  • @smistry93 Alar base reduction alone costs around $6500. Thank you for the message, and please feel free to contact my office any time.

  • May i know if alarplasty surgery gives more obvious scars than an open rhinoplasty surgery? Which surgery heals faster and swelling goes off faster?

  • @ToroKyo Hello,

When the procedure is performed with a meticulous technique by a highly skilled surgeon, any scars present following an alar base reduction will be minimally visible. The swelling will resolve faster following an alar base reduction alone when compared to an open rhinoplasty. The two can also be performed simultaneously depending on the individual needs of the patient. Thank you for the message and I hope this helps.

  • I want one for my graduation present. I'm 14 and I'm told repeatedly "I will grow into my nose"

Well if that's supposed to happen, when I'm older I must have a REALLY big head...smh..

  • oh my god i dont care how it hurts,, i hate my nose ..i wanted surgery so badddd...

  • can u still pinch ur nose after that surgery?

  • @andeeng21

    Hello,

It is best to avoid this while the nose is healing, as there will be swelling present and the area will be sensitive. Thank you for the message.

    Dr. Nassif

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUCHHHHHHHH !!

  • uh...im not sure i wanna get one now.

  • Does it hurt getting a nose job? Maybe I will get one when I'm 25 or something but I'm still 13. My problem is that my nose is flat and I'am supposed to get it pointy. Will we feel anything painful during and after the surgery?

  • @svamayo98

    Hello,

The minimum recommended age to have rhinoplasty performed is 15 years of age for girls and 16 for boys. Pain is minimal following surgery, and painkillers will be prescribed for any discomfort you may experience. Thank you for the question, and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @svamayo98 Hello,

The minimum recommended age to have a rhinoplasty performed is 15 years of age for girls and 16 for boys. Pain is minimal following surgery, and pain medication will be prescribed for any discomfort the patient experiences. Thank you for the message, and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @drpaulnassif why do boys have to be older?

  • @radonas Boys have their growth spurt later than girls. Thank you for the message.

  • I don't see much difference in before and after pictures. I am looking for a way to sharpen the tip of the nose exactly like Micheal Jackson. He had a wide nose when he was black and after surgery he had a nose like an eagle.

  • Hello doc,

It was a masterpiece you have achieved right there.i live in michigan and considering alar base reduction myself, can you please recommend a surgeon in my area( michigan or illinois)?

  • @allisontai

    Hello,

In Illinois, I would recommend Dr. Regan Thomas or Dr. Dean Toriumi. They are both excellent. Thank you for the message.

    Dr. Nassif

  • I have a small nose and umm many ppl ask me if i have a nose job done

  • @blackwallstreet773 they are the doctor, they know what they are doing, i thought this procedure is quite easy, impossible to get it uneven.

  • @blackwallstreet773

    Hello,

Asymmetry is a risk that is associated with rhinoplasty surgery. A great deal of experience and a meticulous approach are essential for obtaining the best possible result, and will greatly reduce the risk of asymmetry being an issue. Thank you and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • Is that person wearing braces??? Can you get rhinoplasty if you have braces??

  • @Extacee91

    Hello,

It is ok to have a rhinoplasty performed if you have braces. Thank you for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • why arnt dissolvable stitches used, i would feel uncomfortable with strings being pull out of my skin

  • @smistry93 less scars.

  • @smistry93

    Hello,

Dissolving or non-dissolving sutures can be used for the ala. The best option will be chosen for you based on your individual needs and the surgeon's preference. Removing permanent sutures from the ala is easy. Thank you and I hope this helps. Dr. Nassif

  • I only want my nose about a cm. thinner. How much would that cost (estimation)?

  • @edwardoftherr

    Hello,

An alar base reduction alone will range in price from $5,000-$6,000 depending on your individual circumstances. Thank you and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @simonbella1234 Hello,

The minimum recommended age to have rhinoplasty performed is 16 years of age for boys and 15 for girls. Thank you for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • Great results! How much would it cost to have a hump removal surgery?

  • @Vanycel

    Hello,

The cost of a primary rhinoplasty can range from $10,000-$15,000 depending on your individual circumstances. Hump removal alone may cost less, but it would depend on whether any additional procedures would be necessary. Thank you for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @drpaulnassif Thank you!

  • if that guy did that to me i will soo him because he tacked a video and put it on youtube

  • @mr619243 unless so are completely retarded(like half the youtube commenters),would you not think the girl was asked and gave her consent to the use of this video??

  • omg dr. nassif i love your work!

  • eh' Doc .. can you feel pain right after the procedure ?.. and how long does it takes to heal ?

  • @boyeks Hello,

Pain following surgery will be minimal, and your surgeon will prescribe painkillers for any discomfort you may experience. Recovery for an alar base reduction will be around 1 week. Thank you very much for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @drpaulnassif thanks doc ...

  • wow that looks really good!

  • My god just watching this makes me feel so weak...

  • damn .. just by watching . my nose felt some pain ......

  • this is incredible footage and great education on how this procedure is performed. the end result is amazing. look at the difference at 2:39! it went from a flat rounded tip to a more pronounced semi projected tip with a "raised" nose around the base area.

  • how long does this surgery last?

  • @LordOfYahoo

    Hello,

An alar base reduction alone can last from 60-90 minutes. Thank you and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • Dr. Nassif, if it isn't private or anything, what was the estimated cost of this girl's entire surgery? Thanks.

  • @EvieLynnRose7 Hello,

This patient had an ethnic rhinoplasty which included an alar base reduction. The cost for this type of surgery can range from $12,000-$15,000 depending on your individual circumstances. Thank you for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @drpaulnassif hey Doctor . what's the procedure in an " un - even " nostrils ???. do you have a non - surgical procedure with this ?

  • @boyeks

    Hello,

The position of the nostrils may be adjusted using cartilage grafts. This will help create better symmetry. There is no non-surgical procedure to alter the position of the nostrils. Thank you for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @drpaulnassif ohhh... so if ever i'll undergo that procedure ...could i fall asleep and not feel the pain ??...

  • @drpaulnassif Hi there, I need this procedure done along with the tip cartilage contouring. What is the recovery time? And is there any bruising or swelling? Thank you so much for posting these videos!

  • @SusieN2011

    Hello,

The recovery time for an alar base reduction alone will be 1 week. The nose will not be swollen, and no bruising will be present around the eyes from an alar base reduction. Bruising is usually most evident when osteotomies, (fracturing of the nasal bones) are performed. Thank you and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • How much would it cost to just have nostrils done lets say you think they are to wide ??? please get back to me in a comment.

  • @251lpm Hello,

An alar base reduction by itself can range from $5000-$6000 depending on your individual circumstances. Thank you for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • Dr. Nassif I'm 13, if i get my mom's permission, will i be able to get one done? thanks.

  • @xxSeddieBarbie Hello,

The minimum recommended age to have rhinoplasty performed is 15 years of age for girls and 16 for boys. Thank you for the question.

  • hey dr,nassif, have you ever feel like you're gonna throw up? during the surgery??? it bothers me

  • @drummerika09

    Hello,

Thank you for the question. This has never been the case, as I have been comfortable in surgery since before I began medical school. Rhinoplasty is my specialty, and I have spent countless hours in surgery throughout my career.

  • @drpaulnassif thats very clever doctor.. :) your masterpiece is worth the money.. :) thanks for responding..

    have a nice day :)

  • @drummerika09

You are very welcome, it is my pleasure. Thank you, and take care.

    Dr. Nassif

  • do you get knocked out during that kind of surgery?

  • @tripyourballzoff Hello,

Alar base reduction surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia. Thank you, and I hope this helps answer your question.

  • I almost threw up when they upend her nose

  • *sigh* i have the ugliest nose in the whooooooooooooole world.... but i don't have that much money...

  • wow... he/she has a REALLY NICE nose... why is he/she doing surgery?

  • @ecvsio you mean the girl in the video? the before is a nice nose? omg. lol. the after is a great improvement.

  • @gogoutube No i know that nose is improved but that wasn't worth it.. cause her nose was pretty... its prettier but not worth it

  • @ecvsio You are on drugs sir/ma'am. I thought my "omg. lol" was enough for you to get a clue but to put it bluntly: her nose was awful. Nowhere near pretty. look at 2:43. Are you kidding me? Live a day with her before nose and say that again, lol.

  • @gogoutube Well... just wow... you must be an idiot... look when they make operation she has a nose nowhere like a 2:40... i dont know how they changed the picture with a photoshop ot something and i dont care... the nose they are making in operation is not like they show in 2:40... 240 is 100% uglier... so please shut up... :) im not the blind one... you are ... im done talking with you

  • @ecvsio lmao. You are truly a dumbass. The nose you see during operation from the beginning of the vid has ALREADY been operated on moments before. Can't you see the cut made in the wall separating the nostrils? Her tip has just been modified and made pointier. You can actually find a video of that. What a fool you are.

  • @gogoutube i told you that im done talking with you... you just try to prove something but you just cant so stfu...

  • @gogoutube Dude... why are you trying to get a point? huh? Why dont you just shut the fuck up? im done talking to you... and if you reply please dont say some idiotic arguing that only bitches do.. -_-

  • @ecvsio Feeling embarrassed huh, aren't ya? =) I would be too if I was as idiotic as you. "omg no it's just photoshop her nose ain't like dat!!1" Now you have nothing to say because you've been proved wrong so you're saying "I'm trying to get a point." And what were you *trying* to do before? It was a good try, but you're too slow. Oh and please don't reply--if you do, at least say something intelligent. Only a dumbass would say "I'm done talking to you", then reply, and then say that again.

  • @gogoutube well i can promise that i'm not feeling not embarrased ;) well if you think you got a point just stfu... when i said "No i know that nose is improved but that wasn't worth it.. cause her nose was pretty... its prettier but not worth it" i was right but you started something stupid... her nose wasn't that ugly... but i won't pay $5000-$7500 to get a little bit of change like that... well if you do that... you must be billionaire to pay that much of that little changes

  • @ecvsio lmao, you just stated in your previous comments that her nose was photoshopped to look that bad. now you say it isn't that bad. Stop flip flopping and back pedaling. You fail to realize that the video you see is after tip-plasty and onto the nostrils. So that's why the nose looks okay. You're not very articulate. Nor are you intelligent. This is like talking to someone with downs. Oh and yet again, you replied after you said you're done talking to me. LOL!

  • @gogoutube Hey you dumbass, if you have a LITTLE BIT OF BRAIN in your head you can realise that i said about PHOTO THAT WAS BAD!!! and said nose in that video that is playing was better then that nose in the photos. and about that done talking... i think you are nuts... didn't you tell me that only dumbass would say "im talking with you" ? well now you're a dumbass... if you're not done talking with me and want to write your pointless comments please continue..

  • @ecvsio The nose in the video was already operated on moments before, slimming the tip. The reason it's not "so bad" is because it has already been improved on. So clearly, you like the improvements. What a moron you are to STILL not realize this. Poor reading comprehension, sigh. Education these days. And when did I say I'm done talking with you? I said YOU said you're done talking to me. Wow, this is getting pretty hilarious. Is English your 2nd language or something?

  • @gogoutube you told me that please don't reply and if you do please say something intelligent... Well as i you told me... im not intelligent (im dumbass as you said). so i can't say anything intelligent so you told me that i must not reply... use your small brain a little... oh and about that nose... why should they show you the nose that has already operated? its not... they are operating in the video...

  • @ecvsio oh and you idiot... i wasnt the one that started this "comment fight"and i don't get it why are you anwsering my comments? and look who replied at the first video ;) please if you have a brain left in your head.

  • I WANT HIM TO DO MINE....im hungry

  • nice

  • Dr. Nassif I have a very big nostrils they both flared like (eddie murphy) can you fix that nose reshaping and resize ? I want to look like justin bieber nose or just straighten it ? How much Does it cost?

  • @reding321

    Hello,

The cost of an alar base reduction can range from $5000-$7500 depending on your individual circumstances. It is possible to reduce the size of the nostrils with an alar base reduction. Please feel free to send any photos to my office and I would be happy to evaluate them for you. Thank you for the question..

    Dr. Nassif

  • @drpaulnassif hi doc. i am not satisfied on my nostrils it has a scar.... i undergo alar base...what to do with it?

  • @boralady Hello,

You can use scar gel to help reduce the appearance of the scar depending on how long it has been since your procedure. In addition, there are laser treatments that may also help reduce the appearance of the scar. Thank you, and I hope this helps answer your question.

  • great job doc

  • HE IS GOOD!

  • This surgeon is superb, particularly in nose reconstruction.

So much of his work is revision rhinoplasty, on patients that have been on the wrong end of poor practice, sometimes very poor practice, and the patients are left traumatised.

Some of his results are quite startling, and immensely gratifying.

  • Dear Dr. Nassif:

    1. What is the recovery time?

    2. Can another procedure, like cartilage removal (the tip of my nose is very bulbous), be down at the same time? What is that recovery time?

    3. What is the estimated cost?

    4. Can you be 17 and get this procedure?

Thank you for you time. Hopefully we will meet in a doctor-to-patient environment in the near future.

  • @Diamond52894 Hello, thank you for the questions.Recovery time will be around two weeks. And yes, the two procedures can be performed simultaneously. The recovery time will be about the same when both procedures are performed. Cost really depends on your individual circumstances. The cost may range from $15-$20,000 for both procedures. You can have the procedure at 17 years old. The minimum required age for rhinoplasty surgery is 15 for girls and 16 for boys.Thank you again, and good luck!

  • @drpaulnassif Thank you so much!

  • How come you chose to do a crease resection instead of making a sill incision? Isn't there a higher risk of scar showing with a wedge inscision?

  • It looks good ...may i ask how old must we be to be able to undergo this surgery? im asian and i have a flat nose and i also wanted to know how much it would cost?

  • @forumsperson For girls, 15 is the minimum age required to have the surgery performed. For boys, 16 years of age. Cost may range from $15-$20,000, but it depends on your individual circumstances. Thank you for the question!

  • Hello, It is important to choose a surgeon who has a great deal of experience in performing alar base reduction (reducing the size of the nostrils). I have been performing alar base reduction successfully for a very long time, and you may see additional examples on my website. Unfortunately, I do not know of any surgeons I may recommend in Hawaii. Thank you, and please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Dr. Nassif

  • Hi Dr. Nassif,

I am considering to get a rhinoplasty procedure done soon and was wondering about a few things. My nose isn't huge, but my tip is wide and when I smile, my nostrils flare out a lot. I know that this can be corrected but what are the chances of it looking natural in result? I am afraid of having a pinched or unatural look. I wish for a straight, narrow and proportioned nose without it looking overdone. Also, could you reccommend me to a surgeon in Hawaii if you know of any? Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you very much. The pain after surgery is typically not bad, and your surgeon may prescribe a painkiller to relieve you of any minor discomfort. Thank you, and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • youare crazy good ! i love all of your videos thanks so much for making these ! i am getting mine friday. IS the pain afterwards that bad?

  • @missxo18 You are very welcome. Pain following surgery is minimal, and your surgeon will prescribe painkillers if necessary.

  • Hi Dr. Nassif,

I was looking into getting a rhinoplasty in the near future and I was wondering if you know of any good plastic surgeons in Philadelphia that you would recommend.

  • @PanicFanatic05 Hello.

I would recommend Dr. Dan Becker in Philadelphia. Thank you for the question, and I hope this helps.

    Dr. Nassif

  • hi Dr. Nassif, how did you determine how much of the alar base should be removed? What if too much of the alar base is removed, resulting in a triangular-shaped nose like janet jackson's?

  • @nicolefragilistic

Your nose will be assessed during a pre-operative exam. If the surgery is too aggressive, it is very difficult to fix. It is important to do your homework and choose a surgeon who has a great deal of experience with the surgery. Thank you, and I hope this helps.

  • can u see a scar when all that is done????

  • @ktxza No, but you may be missing part your nose!

On a serious note, it depends on your surgeon and his/her skills; surgery is always performed in a crease on a place where you don't usually see. Most scars are either within or unseen.

  • @ktxza Hello,

When performed properly by a highly skilled surgeon, any scars will be minimally visible. Thank you for the comment, and best of luck to you.

    Dr. Nassif

  • @ktxza When performed properly by a highly skilled surgeon, the scar following surgery will be minimally visible.

  • oh man,,,blood +--+

  • why do people say she looks alot better after, as if having an the original nose you are born with is wrong and ugly... not everyone can afford 10,000 dollars to get their nose sliced up so they live with the pain of feeling not good enough because their nose is different to how the doctors and hollywood feel is pretty

  • Do you do both wedge and sill incisions? Which incision heals faster

  • @Brittany2049 Prolly 'cause he had to do so much work with this stuff in college :P All those years of medical school isn't just for bookwork you know.

  • I'm sure Dr. Paul would want you to remember that it's also hugely the patient that shows if the scalpel can work magic or not. Post operative care, AND your pre-existing healing abilities, health, diet, etc. The better you can do, the happier, and easier things go for Dr. Paul

  • wow your scalpel works magic Dr. :D

  • how much for just the alar base reduction?

  • Hello,

For an alar base reduction, the surgeon's fee would be $4000. and the operating room/anesthesia is $1500. Thank you very much for the question.

    Dr. Nassif

  • great job doc

  • bad method. this is the michael jackson method...easy to look 'pinched'.

  • i just seriously threw up

  • nose operation is more bloody than breast surgery... its so scary

  • he pulled something out of her nose , what the hell was that ??!!

  • Hi Doctor,

Im having bimaxilar surgery this summer.

Is it posible to have rhinoplasty at the same time?

    Thank you.

  • she looks better afterwards because of make up and she lost some wait - don't buy into nose surgery crap unless you actually broke your nose and have trouble breathing

  • I wonder how much cost?

  • she look better before

  • Creepy... but cool. Cool that this can be done.

  • nice"

  • s-scary..

    .___.

  • Comment removed

  • my worry in this operation is if it left a scar on the face...you know i mean the doctor cut the skin face....

  • Scars I assume will depend on the patient, the surgical skill of the doctor, post operative care, and other factors.

  • her lips looks pale like shes dead...

  • She's knocked out with anesthesia, I would want to be knocked the hell out too if I was having this done.

  • wow plastic surgeons have guts. this was so hard to watch. but the results are beautiful

  • nice job,, beautiful

  • Hi,

It all depends on what you would require and your individual needs. Usually starts around $10k.

Patient Care Coordinator for Dr. P. Nassif

  • what's the price for nostril reduction and tip reduction

  • i want my nose reduction for little bit cute ; ) ehehehe
