Just been reading Chiasmata's comment and its complete BS they can still fly short distances with tjeir wings clipped and everyone who i know who owns a parrot have never clipped their wings.

BTW i believe clipping a parrots wings is like someone taking your feet so you cant run its cruel and unnatural!!!

Sorry,i've not have a parrot before.When u purchase a parrot,bring it home,put in on ur fingers will it fly away from u?or must train?

Most people trim their wings so that they DON'T fly away..often they have been in captivity their entire lives, and do not know how to properly control their wings; allowing them to have full grown wings may make them get lost without intending to...so yah, if their wings are clipped they won't fly away. Otherwise, of course they LOVE you and won't WANT to fly away...but might by accident. Of course, on the very first day and with grown wings, they may.

i love parrots he's funny too with the evil laugh muahaha =DDD i have two cockatoos one umbrella and a medium selphur crested cockatoo and we have a green cheek conrue, african red belly parrot and a lovebird and i love these birds they're so loveable and great =D i really want a african grey though cause they're such good talkers and they are funny too XD
