  • Thanks for your concern, but parts of this video were taken over twenty years ago, and yet I have no joint problems. What you're not seeing on the video is the warming up process. To see a more recent video of my training look for my Feeling Strong Now video on You Tube.

No one would mistake me for a bodybuilder, but I've spent a lot of time in gyms over the years and haven't ever seen anyone in person lift those kind of weights - and even those pushing out heavy reps don't usually display the quality of form you display here. Impressive, and inspirational.

  • @xKingPola3ux I can't tell for sure from this short segment, but I think it's a hot water bottle - with lining far thicker than a balloon. A few strongmen have exploded hot water bottles with their own lung power as a demonstration of strength; it's dangerous to try it though unless you both have the power and stamina for it, and know the right technique to keep the air from rushing back into your lungs.

  • Cringing watching you do the leg press. your lower back was curling up , and you appeared to be locking out every rep, unloading the muscle and working the joint. I am so glad i learned differently. Every body 45+ i know of that trained are falling apart.

  • @omhealer FYI - I'm now 55+ and still training like there is no tomorrow (with no joint problems). The important thing is to prime the pump. Make sure you warm up and train the muscle through a full range of motion. There is nothing wrong with locking your knees on the leg press, just don't hyper-extend them. That's where trainees experience the most injuries on this exercise. Of course, everyone is different and should train the way they feel is best for them. Stay healthy, Mario

  • @2admturiggol ...I believe in training like there is no tomorrow, eating natural, getting plenty of rest, and staying positive...no matter what. The last time I used nutritional supplements was about 40 years ago. In addition, I have never taken anabolic enhancers of any kind, or recreational drugs to get a high. True natural bodybuilding is "a way of life" that I have practiced for decades and continue to do so today.

  • i fucking hate it when people complain about form!! everyone is different so form will vary slightly from person to person! e.g volume and intensity..just depends on what you want....as long as you work the target muscle and get gains then there's no problem!

  • I am sorry, but there is correct form, and uncorrect form, that is not subjetive.

    The formn in the first one is awful, my lower back hurts just to watch. The rest of the exercises look pretty bad executed aswell.

    I would focus to do the technique properly rather than to put all that stress to my body.

    However, the guy has a great body, really ripped and simetric, congratulations :).

    Its supposed to be slow and steady up and slow and steady down as well. he is letting the weight just drop, which could possibly pull a hamstring or calf muscle which would limit his body building substantially especially if he tore the muscles. Triple H who is a body builder as well as a wrestler tore his hamstring and was out of the ring for a year

  • Not disputing that pulling a muscle is a possibilty but even if you do it slow, you can pull a muscle..

    Looks of him, his body is in damn good shape.

  • i been doing natural bodybuilding, you get big but with steroids you can workout harder and more often since your muscles regenerate faster so i prefer a small ammount of steroids.

    Steroids does not mean your lazy you got to workout more and harder to grow faster its not magical.

  • I perform the leg press throughout a full range of motion without hyper extending the knees (that's where trainees get hurt). I have been training for decades in this fashion and have never had a problem.

  • in both your leg press and squat you drop the weight real quick on the negative. You WILL wreck your knees doing this.

  • That's great! Just be careful and gradually increase the poundage over time. The last thing you want is a shoulder injury. By the time your twenty you'll be a power house. Don't forget to work the lower body.

  • Why? Supplements can only help. They are not cheating at all, and won't do anything for you if you don't work hard. You can bust your ass to increase 10%, or you can bust your ass to increase 12%.

    I mostly train with free weights but mix in a machine every now and then if the exercise feels right. I do full squats, deadlifts, bench presses, everything and anything. The important thing is to believe in your training and to be consistent throughout the decades.
