True, Wild Boar are extremely formidable, but an adult Jaguar destroys absolutely any creature that lives in its habitat. Jaguars are pound-for-pound the strongest of the cats, and can out-wrestle Crocodiles, Anaconda, Tapir, Sloths etc, so Peccary/Wild Boar shouldn't even be a problem. While they avoid head-on hunting, they are perfectly capable of doing so because of their speed, intellligence and raw power.

I agree that the Jaguar is the king of the Amazin Forests. However, the young Jaguar in the video adopted the wrong gameplan. He should've back down the moment the Peccury spotted him. Those tusks can cause serious damage to even a Jaguar. There's a video, right here on youtube where two Jaguar's fought one peccury. They were all bloodied. But yes, the Jaguar is King but only by suprise. He's a sprinter not a marathon runner.

This Jaguar did have the wrong game-plan. You are very right. And the peccary can definitely cause serious damage. This is a very young Jaguar. An older Jaguar can outwrestle crocodiles in water, and even fight large anaconda, so a Peccary shouldn't be too much trouble for an adult Jaguar. Jaguars prefer the silent stalker methods, but are definitely known to be able to wrestle.
