  • Quite different from the studio/album version. I think I prefer the studio one but this is also really good.

  • wheres this recording from ?

  • @woodhd It's from the Cleveland Show 2006! btw last stop of the orphans tour

  • @LeninsVictory caught tom at prague on that tour ... this sounds like a more intimate gig ... always liked buzz fleddejohn ... good as anything from mule variations

  • @woodhd I think you are making a mistake. The Orphans Tour was an US only tour. The one you are talking about is the glitter and doom tour 2008 I think.

  • @LeninsVictory yes youre right ! the orphans tour was US only wasnt it ... and that explains maybe the smaller venue sound ... ive seen tom in 99 2004 and 2008

  • @woodhd Actually he was in quite big theaters on the orphans tour but he wanted to be the last stop a very personal one. Also it was a very late show in the night because he was in akron a few hours before and later traveled to cleveland. As far as the guitar playing goes I know it's Duke Robillard on this recording. He was the guitarist during the orphans tour. :)

  • @LeninsVictory smokey hormel on the 6 strings of death ?

  • awesome! what a damn voice

  • fucking killer :D

  • John Hammond does an amazing version of this track on the album 'Wicked Grin', which is produced by Tom Waits and is just John Hammond covering Waits' songs.

  • Savage as expected, maybe as good as studio/barn version...
